Just a thought. If you rent a dump trailer and park it alongside your trailer, you could make a plywood ramp over your trailer into the dump trailer. Then you could shovel the higher part of the snowbank down the ramp into the dump trailer and haul the snow away. Eliminate the risk of it collapsing, so you can finish digging out your trailer. New drinking game, every time I type trailer take a shot, lol

If it was like this (what you’ve had over the past season), did summer never get a chance to melt the snow, and then, year-on-year, there was an accumulated growth up to the mile-high point ?

Thanks for the great videos from the Mammoth Lakes area of the huge amount of snow. The big thaw is here. I have seen the next 10 days in Mammoth Lakes. Most every daytime high is 10 to 15 degrees over freezing with lots of sunshine. Thawing and lots of water is coming very soon.

I humbly suggest you get a big roll of black plastic visqueen sheeting and 2 dozen tent stakes. Cover the ice walls of your driveway with it to enhance the solar yield and increase melt speed. My wife loves your videos, you rock. 👍

Love watching your channel to see how you are handling a potential once in a generation snow winter like you had. 😄 One suggestion if you want to do it, get some sand bags and place them around the entrance to your garage. It will keep the water from going into your garage, while watching to see how the melting snow (water) is moving around your place... Keep up the good fight on the snow... 😊👍

If you have a pet store near you, buy a couple of bags of black aquarium sand, Then throw it around areas -- like where your propane tank is, or on those ice dams. The sun will melt it faster, because it will absorb the heat. That's the same way that dirty snow alongside the roadways melts faster. Even a bag of dry topsoil will speed up the melting process if you throw it on the snow

Glad to see you all got through this year's nasty winter, hang in there! Springtime is almost there(?), and that will be a sloppy mess when all that precip melts. Your trees there will be very happy this summer! That must cost a small fortune to do snow removal, what with the cost of diesel fuel in the not-so-golden state! Thanks for a cool video!

Having lived in South Lake Tahoe for one very heavy duty winter (mild compared to this winter), my suggestion would be to get your vehicles into the garage ASAP, as when those walls of snow lining your driveway start to melt, they could become extremely unstable. And as they melt, they will also become denser and heavier, capable of crushing or pushing a vehicle into the opposing wall. As the thaw progresses, that's really what I would focus on: protecting the vehicles and the home from melting sluffing snow.

There has to be an end and please give us that pleasure to rejoice with your survival!

Do you wonder if you will EVER see dirt at your house again? Years ago after a pretty hard winter a bunch of us locals were hanging out at a sporting goods store. One of the guys said "Hey, my horseshoe pits have thawed out." Another guy said "Great! I'll bring my cat over." We all got a good laugh.

A plywood and 2x4 ramp placed over your trailer might help deal with that overhang, create a mini-avalanche to be moved out by your snow blower. Thanks for including some scenic vistas in your movies!

if u did use the presure washer with HOT WATER ... u would have 2 make sure u r not runnning the pump on it dry. depending on your sorce coming from home supply. u would have 2 chek.... trying to help not burn it out my friend...........just a thought . u might ...want 2 do it late at night .
