In this video, we take a look at another rifle of mine, which was assembled from an Arms of America parts kit. This time it is an East German (DDR) MPI-KM rifle; basically the German take on Russia's AKM. We use this look as a jumping off point to talk about AK production in former East Germany.
We cover the first MPI-K, then of course the MPI-KM, next move to the popular MPIS-M74, and end by talking a bit about the abortive STG.940 project (aka Wieger type).
This video is part of our on-going effort to document the histories of various Kalashnikov variants and versions from around the world.
