Hey guys!
Welcome to another Mortal Kombat 11!
Now In today history of video breakdown and analysis, to capitalise on the hype train behind 'Aftermath' I will be talking about the god of wind and protector of earthrealm, Fujin.
In order for me to talk about Fujin properly I need to go far back to the dawn of time and discuss his origins, where does he derive from and where Is he In the current timeline and canon.
Fujin has always been a character thats played second fiddle to raiden but with how time has now been rewoven especially with aftermath he has now been given the chance to shine!
So I hope you enjoy this video as Its recaps the existence of the characters entire background and whats going on with him!

Fujin is a very cool and underrated character. He easily deserves a spot in the main roster, along with raiden, liu kang, and others. I hope he gets more love and attention from now on too.

Fujin is kinda weak. As a wind god he should be chucking tornadoes and hurricanes, but he sorta just gently mess up your hair a little.

Liu Kang is pretty much "forced-plot : the character" Never understood why he was the MK champion rather than Scorpion or Sub-Zero. Not to mention that eleven games onwards, he's still dull as a kharacter. Hate that they did my man Kung Lao dirty by making him a cocky bastard with an inferiority complex. He used to be a humble badass up to MK9 and somewhat MKX.

If you look at Fujin moves they a combination of Kung Lao and Kitana’s moves and then some. He has the spin like KL and the lift like Kitana.

@@aleflippy1997 I agree to some degree but they needed to flush out distinct character traits from the regulars and that was it chief. In Liu-Kang's defense, dudes have been puttin' in some serious work with the guy over the years and I like when they double amplify the 🚲 kickz which makes it seem understandable in a sense why that guy was/is champion🏆

@@davantejohnson7850 Just to clarify : I wasn't speaking of Liu Kang in terms of gameplay. He's definitely a good kharacter and even lore-wise, he can turn himself into a goddamn dragon. That's indeed pretty badass. It's really in terms of kharacterization that he suffers IMO. Besides with his conflict with Raiden, really ittle has been done to make us care.Hell, people hate D'Vorah for a reason... Most people don't care about Liu Kang. Even his hot-temper that he had in MK9 (and still somewhat in MKX) has been given to Kung Lao for no reason at all : which ruined both kharacters by the way. Since Kung Lao was meant to be the humble monk who clearly didn't want to fight at all. Only doing so because The Great Kung Lao is his ancestor. He never appeared to be jealous of Liu Kang whatsoever, he seemed quite happy that his friend (his cousin if that hasn't been rewritten either) got the fame.

@@aleflippy1997 Mhm hm. Oh yea! D'vorah got a few epic kills on her board, most recent being Scorpion.. Which is understandable somewhat but I get the idea. Must admit, not the biggest fan of this lore (either) nonetheless; it'll always be interesting though. Edit: no matter how hesitant I will be in investing altogether like homie from Cast Away with toothpain vs a rollerskate. 😷😞😒

I like his work and how he'll update the character's history should they make a recent appearance. Another thing is that it doesn't stop there, he'll also explore some of the lore in the series (like the MK realms).

I think you should upload Fujin's history after the Aftermath DLC is released, so you can have his story in the video there as well.

We know we’re getting Fujin, Sheeva, and Robocop. Sektor and Cyrax are in the game as non playable. We may get either Rain or Reptile, may not. Hopefully we get a new character, maybe a character that has been talked about but never been seen.

I think Fujin's MK11 bio is also the first time to confirm that he and Raiden are in fact brothers. While it's no surprise, since a lot of pantheons have gods related to one another, this seems to be the first time it's officially stated.

I loved a lot the new designs in MK11(even if some werent that great, mostly because of the costume design itself...) but Fujin looks like he's going for the best of the best. I already saw the skin in the thumbnail and his more classic MK4 inspired design and both are flawless.

Thank God you know about Fujin. There are those reactors that reacted to mk aftermath and acted like they know Fujin and we're hyped, but in reality they know nothing about him! I hate those kind of people! Even if it's for the reaction, they have to be honest...

If anything Fujin has been pushed back because he’s straightforward with his position but technically requires some kind of conditioning to show up. It’s really unfortunate that he wasn’t brought back after MK 4 or before Armageddon but at least NRS knows that he exists along with a lot of other characters from the 3D era.

Since ed boon decide to give Shang tsung all ninjas special moves characters like smoke, ermac, reptile and rain can’t return for mk11. Ed boon sometimes drives crazy with his stupid decisions, because Shang Tsung have his own special moves but he decided to make this stupid idea that ended up killing Chameleon/Khameleon too.

@Jean Adames I don’t think Ed Boon makes dumb decisions, but sometimes I don’t agree with some parts...coughevilsindelcough. Honestly, I really enjoyed Netherrealm‘ s MK games, and I did miss a few characters that weren’t in the current games. Plus, I like how Shang Tsung morphed into certain characters just to use certain signature moves.

Fujin is the cool uncle while Raiden is the bitchy step dad. Fujin canonically has a special affection for mortals and mortal activities (he used to hand out with Jax and Bo Rai’Cho), and even gets into a quarrel between Raiden over it

According to a leaked intro dialogue from MK11´s files,back when the dlc were leaked.Fujin was actually in the Netherrealm fighting their armies during MKX,the intro is between Jacqui and Fujin.

Order Realm is kinda evil though and evil realms generally don't get protectors. The only other protector that I remember right now is Argus from Edenia, which is a good realm.
