History Of Hawk & Dove 

In Blackest Night, Don Hall was the only one who wasn't reanimated because he was at peace with how he died, and Dawn was capable of destroying the Black Lanterns with just her presence. It's revealed that those who bear the Dove title have a link to the Life Entity that powers the White Lanterns.

I just really liked the Hawk and Dove from Justice League Unlimited.

I always liked the brother dynamic alot more especially with dove being a male instead of a woman. It fights against the stereotype of all men being angry brutes that loves to fight all the time.

I appreciated how the honored Dove's death, and have him remain dead during Blackest Night. However, he would have been the perfect ring wielder at the end of Brightest Day. I also noticed some of Batman's story between Jason dying and Tim replacing him as Robin paralleled H+D.

So.... as of today, 40 minutes ago, November 12, 2018, Stan Lee passed away at age 95, May he join them in heaven

Since I watched Doom patrol, I have been getting really into learning more about DC's C & D list characters like: Doom Patrol, Hawk & Dove, The Question, Challengers of the Unknown, Firestorm, Deadman and Swamp thing

I personally think that the original Hawk and Dove( Hank &Don) are better than the new team. I just like the origin story of the brothers and how their given powers represent them. Hank being the embodiment of Chaos. While Don is the embodiment of Order. They were just a better team in my opinion.

The hawk and dove from Titans are bad ass and are easily my favorite characters in the show.

This was excellent. Hawk and Dove were two of my favorite heroes. When Don was killed, well, that really sucked. Then Hawk going off the deep end until Dawn showed up to bring the balance back into the order/chaos aspect of the characters was just good story telling. I am surprised you did not mention that the "evil" Hawk from the future only became that way when Dawn died. When the avatar of chaos decided to create absolute law in her name...

I just remember them from the justice league unlimited episode.

Dove's primary ability which makes her special is a very enhance precognative ability. She makes order from chaos of a battle. Like Arris stated she can sense and feel things before they happen. Almost like Midnighter but I would put his at a higher level. She can dictate the flow of a fight. Hawk besides being strong, fast, durable and a healing factor also has razor sharp claws as well. Weakness which wasn't touched on is when they are away from danger they revert back to their normal forms and have to say the words to transform. Also whatever mortal injuries they suffer while Hawk & Dove, they will not revert back until they are to a safe point healthwise to revert back.

I really miss the sibling dynamic of Hank/Holly and Don/Dawn. It’s a lot more believable that they’d try to get along despite their opposing views with a family member instead of a stranger.

Don and Dawn are different names; Don is short for Donald. DC's mishandling of Hawk during Armaggeddon 2001 and Zero Hour was disasterous; CAPTAIN ATOM was secretly Monarch, Hawk & Dove Annual #2 even showed H&D in the future fighting against Monarch, but when news leaked early revealing Capt. Atom, DC opted for a nonsensical rehash with Hawk as the villain. In the end, DC had to retcon it by having Metron erase Extant's "wretched timeline" in issue 14 of JSA, then retcon Monarch back into Capt. Atom (as DC originally intended) in issue 6 of The Battle for Blüdhaven, before finally restoring Hawk in issue 8 of Blackest Night. Since 1986, I've hoped that Hawk would somehow magically manage to bring Donald back some day, even if he's not Dove anymore. :)

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Back in 1991 there was a plot to have Monarch, a villain from the future who was hero from the past. The plan was to have Captain Atom be Monarch but the info was leaked. So DC had to pick another hero and it became Hawk...it was lame.

I love me a sibling team. I feel like the original pair of Hawk and Dove's personalities and what they represent are to be super interesting, and could potentially make for great stories especially in modern times what with how extreme and prevalent identity politics are. Their dynamics and how their father strives for the two of them to be logical and balance with how they go on with their lives. The world could use little more of that. Though I'm not too keen on the "mysterious voice gives superpowers" idea until the whole revelation of avatars for Chaos and Order. Which is pretty cool. Female Dove has a far better design though for me.

The OG hawk and dove would make a great movie

Sounds like the creepy family from the Titans series (spoilers) would have a hard time if not be completely outmatched by the Comic Book version of Hawk and Dove. Shame, would love to see some actual flying and powers on that series (I mean beyond what we have seen so far - like StarFire actually flying and Raven casting spells - which may happen - I hope)

He became Monarch because it was leaked that Monarch was originally Captain Atom.

Hope that the Titans show will actually dive into their mystical origin, alongside talk about the previous Dove. Without their powers, their costume is too showboat for even regular street level heroes.

Hawk and Dove are awesome on Titans! Hopefully they get their own spinoff series where we could see them interact with the Lords of Chaos and Order, as well as see more of their stories.

This is actually a rare case of a live action adaption being WAY MORE interesting to me as characters than the comic versions. I like the avatar of war and peace thing from the comics but other than that, I feel like Titans actually makes Hawk and Dove ten times more intriguing as individuals and as a couple than they've ever been in the comics. They're one of the best parts of the show.

You forgot to mention how during blackest night, somehow dove is able to completely destroy the black lanterns, just by touching them, and that no matter how hard they tried black rings were unable to resurrect the original dove, two really neat but often overlooked aspects of that storyline.

I love this channel so much! I'm a hardcore DC fan, so thank you for making this! I always wondered what their story was.

The Titans show really makes them interesting but I am much more of a fan of them from the Justice League TV show.

Everytime I look at Hawk and Dove Transformation in JLU. It reminds me of Sailor Moon alot.

The reveal of Hank Hall as Monarch led to some controversy amongst the fan community; Monarch was originally intended to be revealed as Captain Atom, with clues in the story pointing towards this which had to be discarded when it was changed at the last minute. This change was due to the premature leaking of Monarch's identity. While Monarch was always supposed to be Captain Atom, this was supposed to be a secret. When Monarch's identity was prematurely leaked, DC decided to preserve the surprise of the story by switching Monarch's identity to that of Hank Hall. [From Wikipedia]

I think there’s still room to have the lords of order and chaos on Titans. Hawk and Doves backstory wasn’t really explored much and I’m pretty sure Don is confirmed to appear so maybe it’s for an origin episode?

Hawk and Dove personality reminds me a lot of Phoenix Ikki and Andromeda Shun from the saint seiya series. Anime and manga fans will recognise their behavior similar to them.

The meaning of Yin and Yang. Light and Dark fight for balance. Neither of them can be destroyed. Siblings for life. I think the brothers deserve their own show aside from Titans series. Or maybe a role in Young Justice.

Hawk's superpowers are superhuman strength Heailing and fighting skills. Female dova superpowers are enhance strength speed healing smarts and being able to adapt just saying.

Heard so much about the life of Stan Lee but i want to hear how he made people feel, how they feel about his passing. I think this is the type of personal story that Stan put to paper.
