To be honest, if I was going to give Tim Drake a new code name and costume, his costume would be an updated version of the pre-New52 Red Robin costume, and his code name would been Cardinal.

JANKBOMB thanks man, also if I were to do something like that to Tim, I would have to do justice to the character and reason why he would change his code name. Cuz I know there are a lot of Tim Drake fans who like him as Robin, but I like him as Red Robin or something else cuz of the development he went to and it shows how he is more better detective than Bruce, but I also want to respect the fans who like him as Robin, so that won’t be devastated but understand why he change his name, unlike Bendis who just had Tim change his name bc he thought that his earth3 counterpart name is cool.

I didn’t like the coincidence that Tim was in the flying Graysons show but him displaying his intellect and simply chiming in to help is such a simply good character start. 52 Tim is just an athlete AND a computer techie? Also I feel like Tim doesn’t get much love now a days (I mean tv and movie wise). He hasn’t really appeared that much over the years I feel like it’s either dick or Damien and sometimes Jason. The only things I can think of that he’s appear in Batman TAS universe, Arkham games, batman unlimited movies, young justice and I think in the anime Batman movie. That just doesn’t seem like a lot of appearances to me.

Compare it to Jason who in media has really only appeared in Arkham Knight, under the red hood and Titans. Yeah he's had a few cameos here and there but they're the only ones he's really had any sort of significance whereas Tim has had significantly more important roles, BTAS, batman unlimited, Arkham city and Knight, YJ. And damien well he only really appears in injustice and the dcamu Also Jason highlights an important part of Batman's past, his biggest failure. Tim on the other hand is probably his biggest accomplishment, has a successful successor to the cowl Basically they all get their moment to shine.

Pretty much. It sucks, because this was a chance to finally give Tim a name that sticks. If it were up to me, I'd go back to Alex Ross' original Red Robin costume, with a few tweeks (black with some yellow, no red, and remove the chest straps), and rename him something as cool as Nightwing. Unfortunately, I can't think of any name as cool as Nightwing, but I'll figure it out someday.

What's wrong with it? Personally I never objectively liked him being Red Robin, I saw him as still being under batman in a way, while Dick and Jason became their own men, in name and identity. But I haven't read the new Young justice series yet, so Idk if they ruined his character or whatever.

What's great about Tim Drake's "tragic background story" was that it was unique. Unlike every other superhero, all the tragedy in his life happened AFTER he became a superhero. (If you don't consider parental neglect a form of tragedy, that is.) Sidenote: New-52 SUCKS!!!.. Thankfully, the writers seem to be backtracking a bit on their "work" on Tim Drake, as of late.

Tim is the perfect Robin because he has no Ego, never too prideful to think the sidekick/Robin role was beneath him. When Dick and Jason grew out the role, they took new identities distancing themselves from the Robin mantle, however even when Tim leaves his new name still has Robin in it.

I’m surprised that there’s now an official episode of Tim Drake.He’s been my favorite Robin since 2nd grade.I like Dick the second, Jason the third and Damian the least.Seriously, if Damian thinks he's the best Robin, he's is in for a rude awakening. He kills and is arrogant.I was laughing during the Drake part, but it would've been funnier if you included Drake Bell too.I also remembered when Tim said he'll never be Batman in the titans future comic.I guessing you'll never know what'll happen in the future even though you time travel. I always liked Tim best. I think mostly since nothing came easy for him back when he was introduced and started out. He was humble and really had to work hard at it. He wasn't a natural acrobat or a street brawler or had secret assassin training - he was just a kid with a lot of heart, talent and a willingness to listen, learn and put the effort in.

The first Robin miniseries demonstrated that point perfectly. He got the shit beaten out of him by everyone who trained him but it always ended with Tim learning from his losses and finding a way to win. At the end of it all he had to stop King Snake from releasing an eco bomb of bubonic plague on Hong Kong and fight King Snake in his penthouse lair basically single handed. And he had to use everything he had learned up until that point to even have a chance to win

One of my favorite Tim Drake moment was from Prodigal. Tim was at the movies with his girlfriend when a bunch of bullies beats him up, but he can't fight back because he doesn't want to blow his cover as Robin. At the end of the issue, the lead bully comes back for more. He says, "Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide, Drake!" Tim thinks himself with an evil glint in his eye, "No witnesses!" and proceeds to beat the crap out of the punk with a huge grin on his face.

Im proud to say after all these years of saying Tim is my favorite and read everything about him, I knew everything in this video, for once. Also another feat of his intelligence, i dont remember the exact comic, but there is a time Bruce gives Tim a nearly unbreakable code to try and beat, expecting it to take days or weeks for Tim to solve it. Tim beat the code in 2 hours. Also loved the video!

Tim Drake is my favorite Robin because he’s smart, brave, and he proved himself to be Batman protege. He discovered Dick Grayson was the original Robin because Tim remembered seeing him do a quadruple somersault which only a Flying Grayson can do. Tim’s father was still alive but he was in coma after being poisoned by a supervillain and Bruce took him in. Tim Drake also has relationships with other heroes; Stephanie Brown/Spoiler is his girlfriend and they are great together, Conner Kent/Superboy is his best friend and almost a brother to Tim, and Dick Grayson is pretty much his older brother who Tim views as family. Even Bruce Wayne himself kinda like a father to Tim so he’s well liked by a lot of heroes besides Damian Wayne who hates him for no reason at all (that little brat).

Like I’m gonna be honest, I despise tim’s new 52 origin. It takes away a lot of important parts about the character. Like, tim didn’t grow up being that physically strong, his parents originally weren’t very present in his life for job reasons, and he figured it out on his own…on accident. New 52 tim needed a whole case to figure out bruce’s identity. Pre-new 52 tim would think that’s silly as hell. The whole point is that bruce wasn’t interested at first. So why would bruce be the one interested in the first place in new 52? It genuinely doesn’t make sense. In my eyes, new 52 tim was basically dick but smarter and his parents stayed around longer.

8:02 that is my, hands down, absolute favorite Robin costume. I wish he has that costume longer before becoming Red Robin. But I also like his Red Robin costumes except for his Rebirth one. I didn't like that is just looks like a Robin costume but with 2 R's. That's lazy and Damien is already Robin, he didn't need to look like another Robin. @@wanderin_stud499 Dick isn't overrated at all. He's keeping a steady reputation. It is Tim that is overrated, every writer try to make him better then Batman, which is annoying. Bruce Wayne is the smartest man on earth, even smarter than Luthor, yet when he is in an issue with Tim, he is only used to either get Tim's dick sucked or to make look dumber. Its annoying, my personal favorite Robin (not character) Jason Todd.

Tim has been my favorite Robin ever since I picked up his action from the Batman returns toy line. Loved his suit. I also loved seeing him evolve into Red Robin. I fully agree that first costume with the cowl was my favorite. Was disappointed when new 52 deaged him and changed his suit. Currently not a fan of “drake”

Fair, though some would complain about the use of "true son". And I would argue Dick and Jason have their intellectual streaks as well. (You'd be surprised at how literate Jason is. And Dick mostly became an airhead under Devin Grayson and Tom King.) "Prodigal" also works when you consider he spent his trust fund on a circus.

People get the impression that Tim is the bland Robin. He's a genius, nerd, fanboy. He's like if we were to be in the role of a superhero that's Tim he's us as the role of Robin.
