I think rather than the question of "when did islam came to India?" the question of "when did mass conversions or large scale conversions started in India?" would be more relevant.

Irony is in India, the oldest mosques still exist, would love to know the what is the oldest surviving Hindu Temple or Buddhist Prayer Hall that stands today in Pakistan and what's the status, considering Hinduism and Buddhism predates Islam in Indian Subcontinent.

Cherman mosque in Kodungallur (Cranganore) is indeed very much active even now. Since you have touched on this subject & the evolution of religiouns in the sub continent, I would also suggest that you do a video on the history of Christianity in the Indian subcontinet. It will be a refreshing surprise for may. You could also do one on why & how the muslims got aggressive by poor leadership which also is a huge trigger for the public perception towards them.

Thanks for bringing proper perspective to the issue. Even post-Mohammad bin Qasim, Islam was spread by sufis and saints and not by swords. For almost a 100 year RSS has been trying to forcefully convert Muslims to Hinduism with practically no success. This in itself proves that the Muslims are Muslims because they like their religion, not because someone had used sword to convert them to Islam.

I am a bit confused. Mir says that Islam didn’t spread through sword, and goes on to to give examples of three mosques spread across three states. Then he admits 25 sahaba attacked different parts of India, which is clearly what Hindus are saying - that Islam spread by the sword. Yes, there could have been some conversion due to sufis, but it is very evident that a majority of the conversions were due to threats, coercion and incentives.

Im from from south indian state Karnataka , Kerala is our neighbouring state.

Kerala masjid is oldest mosque in the world. The land was offered by the king of Kochi, Arab would come to Kochi for spice trade, this masjid was constructed for Namaz. Other two mosques...there are no reference in India. The three masjid (you referred to) basically were near the sea shore for Arabs to offer namaz. It doesn't mean that Islam got its roots in India. MOHAMMAD Bin Qasim invaded India to spread Islam with violence, latter on many other invaders came to India to demolished temples and forcefully convert Hindus to Islam. Asalam alaikum sir If Masjid of Kerala was built in 622 ad it means Islam came to India during Prophet's s.a.w era because the death (wisal mubarak) of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was 632 and I also mentioned in my other comment that the qibla direction is towards Masjid Al Aqsa

Islam came to India very early it is true. It was brought to Kerala by Arab traders. Some of them married Hindu girls. For these Arabs, Hindu kings allowed to contruct mosques. But spread of Islam started on large scale only after Muslim rule in India.

Jats were the earliest people in the Indian subcontinent to have interacted with the Muslims. The multiple trading communities of Jats already existed in pre-Islamic Arabia. Jats were referred to as Zatts (Arabic: الزُّطِّ, romanized: Az-Zutt) in early Arab writings and Jat-an in Persian. They and the Buddhas were prosecuted by Rajputs therefore they fought alongside Muslims against Raja Dahir.

There are 2 graves of Ashab e Rasool RA in Mehboob Goth which is bordering village of Districts of Sukkur and Shikarpur. That means they had come here to spread Islam.

So when mosques were built, they were built because Hindus were secular and on the request of Muslim traders , Hindu rulers gave a place and land for the worship of Allah, and assimilated a new religion. This is the beauty of Hinduism.

One family lived in a house for a thousand year. Suddenly few outsiders came/attacked the house and grabbed it. The original family had to share the house with the outsiders because they were defeated. Long way down the line in time, outsiders grandsons and granddaughters started claiming the house as their own as they were born and brought up there. No one remembered how the house came to be shared by 2 distinct families. No one was outsider now as the no one had invaded the house in the first place. Original inhabitants had welcomed another family with open arms, thats how, half the family of the house remember things now. Other half's feelings are not added. Claim of attack of force is rejected by by the historians who belong to other half of the family. Fast forward now, the very house is divided in 4 parts. 3 parts of the house are inhabited by members who are not the aboriginals. The only remaining part has members who dream of their house which was complete once. There are enlighted members of other family who term them as bigot, racist, blind, ignorant , BJP and RSS members.

Sir! Please make a story about Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. He is also an controversial character as he is proven as a national hero by our state through "Pak Studies" and other history subjects. Wherese he is called as a false believer(بد عقیدہ یا بد مذہب) and charged with many other religious allegations by a specific group( having a specific skool of thought) and a political party too. So, sir please try to clearify it. As student of intermediate, we are very confused either to consider him a hero or something else(vice versa).
