You might want to have a look at everything happening in the northern border regions before Joseon. There's quite a bit of medieval warfare between different kingdoms happening in there. These are the exact parallels for how European kingdoms established their power and wealth in the middle ages. Is Gogoryeo not an empire? The music are in the video description, and they came from Soundcloud, where all hidden and talented musician/singer publish their songs for free. You would be more impressed listening music there.
