This is the best comprehensive Mega Man guide I've ever seen. Thank you for this. I'm going to use this to play as many of them as I can! Edit: I did notice that you have Rockman Complete Works as "unfindable," but people appear to be selling them on Ebay.

You should play the Zero "tetralogy" (the definitive version is the Zero Collection, played on a DSi XL). The first two games are good, the latter great, especially the 3rd game, even surpassing X1 and X2 as the best games of the main series, IMHO. But for people who aren't used to them (or the ZX titles) they are rock hard and show zero mercy! ;-) At least they let you choose a control sceme and support various play styles.

Okay, I agree that some of the games in the Megaman series are garbage, but just saying the original, or the series is simply not true. Megaman defined the action platformer, with it's amazing level design, great bosses and rock-paper-scissors meta. To say that the series is bad too, is untrue also, as almost every Megaman improved on graphics, music, and level design.

Retriolov lmao. who are you? megaman retired salesman or something? even in the video you can see graphic improvement is fucked up. they changed the art style every 5-7 years and improved the graphics approximately 15 years later than the first release. this game and series are garbage and its one of the worst action platformers out there. sorry for my bad english not my native language.

Retriolov if you compare other games in the same platform you can see the REAL improvements. but this game having so so little graphical and gameplay uptades made it garbage. and yes I have played megaman. and I call it garbage. it is GARBAGE. Compared to other action platformers. I do not get why this game is popular. everything devs done made the game worse. sorry for my bad english again not my native language.

Well the reason I, and many other people love Megaman games is cause it redefined action platformers. The controls were great, they could rival the original SMB, the music was pretty good for the NES and really good for the SNES, and the level design was really advanced. The bosses were difficult, but they were rewarding and simple if you knew how to beat them in the correct way. All this makes Megaman look like a repetitive franchise, just copying game after game, but in each new megaman game a lot was getting put into it. Better level design, music and graphics all made each new game very appealing for all audiences, and it turned out to be some of the best games in the late 80's early 90's. Then capcom canned it.
