I feel bad that I hated Sophitia when I was a kid back when I had SCII. Now that I'm older I can appreciate her background and character. She's one of the only pure characters in SC. Plus I love her catchphrase "Pardon me!"
Thanks for this amazing video. Sophitia is one of my all-time favorite SC characters. She always was so under-estimated by fans. Can't wait to see histories of Taki, Maxi, Kilik, Amy....
History Behind the Warrior: Thank you for the history of Sophitia, my number one character, and favorite. You should have mentioned the part about the spirit of Soul Calibur, Elysium, blaming Patroklos Alexander for her Sophtia form. When spirit of Soul Calibur visited him in his dreams as the form of his mother (to manipulate him), she (the spirit) became trapped in a physical body, and later blamed Patroklos for her condition. I took this to mean in Soul Calibur 5, that Elysium could not transition back into the spirit form, because of being trapped in a created physical construct (the body), so therefore she blamed Patroklos for her own misfortune, when he eventually turned against Elysium (Sophtia copy) for manipulating him in that way.
I always found Sophitia much more hotter than Ivy. Aside from her big breasts, she's also kind, beautiful and strong. Sophitia looks either like a Princess from ancient times, a goddess or a priestess given the way she is dress. Her golden hair shines like the sun, her crystal blue eyes, fair skin and beautiful body. Her kind heart and motherly instincts shows her inner beauty much more. Sure her Soul Calibur 4 design is revealing a lot, but it shows how divine and fair Sophitia is.
This is really hype for me seeing Soul Calibur finally making it's comeback on PS4 after 5 years. I've been playing Soul Blade & Calibur games since PS1 and Dreamcast & it's one of my fav fighting game franchises of all time. Mitsu looks young & got some really cool new moves & stuff. 2018 is gonna be a great year for fighting game fans. I can't wait to main Mitsurugi for another 5 years.
I feel awful that I considered her boring for so long. Looking back, her fall in 4 was heartwrenching. From the beginning she never asked for any of this and it got her killed in the end. Here's to hoping the new timeline goes better. (If Cassandra's story is anything to go by then there is a chance at least.)
Actually, if you read New Legends of Project Soul which has filler information for events before and during Soulcalibur V you discover that Sophitia's body was taken into Astral Chaos with Cassandra and they basically retconned Sophitia's death.
The original MILF of the Soul Calibur franchise and now we know why she didn't pop up in 5. Thank God for the reboot and it's great to have you back original MILF. What she's hot.
Because Taki couldn't remove the Soul Edge shard that was near her heart. Plus she died when she removed it and placed it on Pyrrha so she may live after Siegfried defeated Nightmare. So Patroklos had his sister taken from him at a young age, and lost his mother at a young age. These things are enough to severely break someone.
Didn't Sophitia wield Soul Calibur in SC3 in the battle against Abyss? That would be why Soul Calibur takes that clear form in SC6. Also what if SC6 (or the reboot) changes the story drastically like it either takes place inbetween SC2 & 3 or the continuation of SB (Soul Blade/Edgr) however certain events change thus creating a different parallel, that or Sophitia gets revived somehow.
joyce hayes mobley she doesn’t use soul calibur. She doesn’t even fight abyss. It was Siegfried and nightmare somewhat teaming up against him. It only chose her form in SCV in order to manipulate patrokalos.
I feel like your gonna save Taki for when her trailer comes out, so you should do Talim or Zasalamiel. Also im interested in the stories of Maxi and Astaroth
How did you find out the fate of Sophita? Like many other characters between SC4 to SC5 there was barely any mentioning of what happened to them. Hence why some if not most thought Elysym was Sophita.
I'm a little bit confused here. From what you said in the lore. There seems to be three set of the omega blade. The first one was forged by the god Hephaetus. This is the one that I was confused because you said that it shattered the first soul edge but what happened to the first omega blade itself. Did it got shattered too since the second and the third one had to be forged by Sophitia's husband. And how can the god allow some mere mortal to forge them when the they were serious about the first one that the smith's god forged it himself. Well we'll never know the full power of the second and third omega blade since it never clash with the soul edge. I guess I'll never know the answer until soul calibur 6 when they reboot it. P.S. I would like you recommend you to do the Taki lore, but I guess that Taki is important character that would get the reveal trailer and you would hold off for that so maybe so i'm gonna recommend somone who shouldn't be in the first wave of the roster then maybe Setsuka?
In Soul Calibur 5 story mode before the fight with Tara the announcer said that she was the one who killed Sophitia. So you mean after all this time that was how she died? I thought Tara did it with her own hands to hear the announcer tell it.
Very interesting, she's had a rough history. But the title though, to put 6 in it makes it sound like you're talking about her history from 6 when the game hasn't been released yet.
Sophitia is probably my favourite character in Soul Calibur. She's so sexy, stunning, strong and beautiful, along with having such a pure, sweet and loving personality. Her story in IV was genuinely moving and it took the character in a bold direction by making her more of an anti-hero who's only protecting Soul Edge for the sake of her daughter. Her snd Cassandra's Soul Chronicle in VI have made me appreciate her on an even deeper level than I ever had before, and I was already in love with her since the first time I saw her. 🥰😊
