Can you talk about cursed child and why they have no modern technology and aren't wearing masks to protect themselves from covid? Been reading it and noticed the the triwizard tournament happened 1998 skip 4 years for rest of happy potter then add 19 years because it's 19 years later they should be roughly 2020 and trump would still be in charge lol but that made me think where's all the smartphones? Surely instant worldwide messaging is faster then an owl and face time at that why aren't these kids on their phone every other minute or on a game console where's the heckling fidget spinners lol ya know
Hi Peter was born on 31 August 1960 in Great Britain and died on Marcy 1998 he’s a pure-blood his family is mrs petteigrew was his mother and xerox pettigrew and Enid pettigrew were his possible relatives and Matt pettigrew was his ancestor his animagus is a rat his boggart was is lordship Voldemort his wand 91/4” chestnut dragon heartstring and he was a gryffindor
I wish you had gone in to the really tragic mindset that led Sirius to allow himself to be carted off to Azkaban without speaking in his own defense. He knew that Peter had betrayed James and Lily, but he held himself responsible because he was the one who convinced them to use Peter as Secret Keeper. In his eyes, James and Lily were dead and Peter had escaped and it was all his fault. He felt he deserved the punishment, until he happened to see a newspaper showing Peter in Egypt with the Weasleys, and he knew that Peter would be at Hogwarts with Harry. His need for vengeance is why he escaped, and he was prepared to risk his soul to the Dementors if it meant a chance to kill Peter. He never intended to be proven innocent or to be set free, and never imagined that he would be reunited with Remus or be able to have any kind of relationship with Harry.
10:53 There are two exceptions as the Marauders never discovered the Chamber of Secrets or the Room of Requirement, meaning that neither appears on the Marauder’s Map.
16:07 pettigrew did not cut off his thumb it was his index finger that he cut off when he faked his own death. "'He's come to try and kill me again!' Pettigrew shrieked suddenly, pointing at Black, and Harry saw that he used his middle finger, because his index was missing." (Page 276 of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban illustrated edition).
I find it interesting that you went to the trouble to mention Bellatrix and Narcisa and who they marry but ignored the best of the THREE Black sisters, Andromeda. Yes her name flashes by (4:24) but you don't mention her and you give the impression that Serious was the only good Black. People who haven't read the books won't know the meaning of a random name passing by as she was completely cut out of the movies. Personally I think you should have either mentioned ALL three or none of them.
My favorite story in Harry Potter is the marauders I’ve read fanfiction, watched fan films, read all out them on pottermore, etc.. I know they (James especially) gets a lot of flack simply cause of their rivalry with snape and the other slytherins but their story is special and their fates are so different just like their lives were James the Golden Boy lucky child 🏆 Sirius the black sheep of his family 🐾 Remus the kind yet lonely victim of hate 🐺 Peter the social outcast and scared, cowardly, disloyal, dirty, scummy piece of shi- Anyway the story of the marauders is a story of friendship, and the consequences of one’s actions and how each choice can shape one’s future..🌕🐀🐾🦌 Mischief Maganed 🪄
@@LarryDeskPlantme likes emojis as long as they add to the comment instead of being unnecessary. Kind of embarrassing but I only learned how to use emojis a few years ago so I like them still 😂😂😂😮😮😮🎉😊
The question I've always had is: How did Fred and George figure out how to work the map? It's completely believable that they stole it from Filtch, but it's never explains (as far as I know) how they figured out how to work the map.
@@ratdude747 thank you for reminding me of that. I’m still curious how the map “guided” them. I realize it’s a minor point, I’ve just always been curious about it.
@@michaelhall9146totally agree and I might be playing Devil's advocate and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Peter die strangled by his silver hand due to it sensing a shift (or hesitation) on his loyalty towards Voldemort? I've always sort of seen that as a small redemption, even though he deserved to rot in Azkaban or worse, expelled.
@@DEEAATEE you are correct here. It was a fitting and satisfying death. Azkaban probably would have been better because he would have had to deal with the dementors. I also would have enjoyed the dementors using the dementors kiss on him. But in the ends, he ended up paying for his transgressions and betrayal.
Only in the movie did Harry see Peter on the map. It didn't happen in the book. Even Snape never saw Peter when he saw the map in Lupin's office (he'd forgotten to close it when he went to help the trio). The only thing that makes sense is that the map was enchanted so only the Marauders could see each other on it if in animal form. This is why Remus saw Peter and Sirius before they took human form again.
I still haven't forgiven Rowling for killing off Lupin. If ANYONE deserved a happy ending, after all they had been through in life, it was him, Tonks, and Teddy. And James's parents actually died of Dragon Pox. (According to Rowling)
@@clover2739 She only killed him because she was going to kill off Arthur in Order Of the Phoenix, but decided losing two family members was too much for the Weasleys. So Lupin died instead. (So apparently killing off Andromeda Tonks's ENTIRE family except her grandson was no problem.)
@@clover2739Remus is my favorite character as well. And people might hate ME or saying this, but I would've traded Arthur to get Fred and Remus back. (Heck, she saved one and killed two in his place, so I'd call it an even trade)
I honestly can't stand the hate that the Marauders receive from Harry Potter fans. They present the marauders as a group of bullies and Snape as a poor victim who never did anything wrong. I personally like the Marauders (except Peter for obvious reasons) and I really would love to see their story in the form of a TV-show or something, so people would finally get their perspective. Because due to HP movies cutting out a lot of bad stuff about Snape, fans tend to despise the marauders which is not really deserved. James was probably a bit spoiled but he matured up and became a man who faced Voldemort without a wand to protect his child. Sirius was a loyal friend who would've died for those he cared about. And Remus turned out to be one of the best teachers we ever seen on Hogwarts and he's definitely one of the nost likeable characters. I truly wish we would finally get their side of the story, how James and Sirius went through hell to be able to turn into animals in order to help Remus and make those around him safe. To show why Lily chose James in the end and so on
Kind of disagree here - Snape was targeted by James and Sirius which played a big role in him turning bad. Not justifying Snape's behavior the toward Harry of course. If Snape had been left alone Lily could've had better luck positively influencing him
@@TLM860But you’re ignoring why he was targeted. Go back and read the books more carefully Snape was deeply embedded in the Slytherin mindset. He had strong anti-Muggle feelings and an unwholesome interest in the dark arts. He was creepy and obviously dangerous and that was a big part of what drew the negative attention from Sirius and James.
@@pjschmid2251 He didn't attack anyone when he was a student. Being interested in the dark arts was triggered by trauma and once again he didn't do use it to attack anyone as a student. If he was so anti muggle why did he fall in love with Lily? He called her a mudblood only because he was embarrassed about being bullied and being unable to defend himself.
One do have to remember the wizard world was in a war. It was so bad that Hagrid himself even said that it was very dark times and that everybody was so scared that even after the war ended they still refuses to use the dark wizard's name. Wars changes people. James had to see allies and friends getting killed right in front of him. You have to remember that he just became a father for a year and he find out that the dark wizard was going to go after his son. The man who let nobody lives when he decided to kill them. James had to be protective of his family. This wasn't about himself. He was willingly to hide in order to protect his wife and son. Then when he came, he tried his best to protect them. You have to remember that he lost his parents young due to them being old when they had him. No doubt that he wishes that they were still around and that they could had met their grandson. You have to remember that for all of his flaws he was still friends with both a werewolf and someone who comes from a pure-blood extremist family background. He didn't judges Remus and Sirius which is why both are so loyal to him even after his death. James went through lot as a young adult and likely experience some kind of spiritual change as a result so how can one say that he didn't changes? Also, some people don't get to bury the hacket but while it would been nice to do so, does that really mean that you changes or not? Some people will never get along no matter what. Also, even if he did, would Snape even accepts it? Would Snape even admit his own wrong doing in the feud? You can't put all the blame on James because Snape played a role in this too. Also, Snape became a death eater during their young adulthood so why on earth would James want to say "I'm sorry" to him?
"In their animal forms, they were able to roam the castle grounds freely, without fear of being caught..." I can't but imagine seeing a massive stag or a large black dog just casually strolling around the school grounds without anyone batting an eye. Nothing suspicious here, move on.
This is my doubt. Why harry never heard about The Deathly Hallows untill he talked to Xenophilius Lovegood. In the first movie, when harry gets the invisibility cloak as a gift, Ron recognizes the cloak immediately and says it's an Invincibility cloak. Means he clearly knows about it. In deathly hallows part 1 when the trio visit Xenophilius Lovegood, he talks about the deathly hallows. Then Ron and Hermione say they know the story of deathly hallows. But harry says he doesn't know. Why Harry doesn't know anything about the story of the cloak when Ron clearly knows it? The cloak is one of 'The Deathly Hallows' and it's owned by Ron's best friend Harry Potter!!! Even they used the cloak a few times🤷♀️ Seems like they never discussed abt it but that's kinda illogical. I've never read the book, so I don't know if that's specified in the book. Please let me know more about this. Thank you🥰❤️
I keep on hearing of a tv series on Harry Potter in the works. Instead of remaking the movies into a tv show showcasing Harry’s years at Hogwarts, they should spin a more original storyline that is based on the years that the marauders, Snape & lily attended Hogwarts.
would it have been possible for Lupin to become an Animagus? I wonder if he would've become a wolf and if that would've helped him with his monthly transformations.
You should start a series on Harry Potter: What if. It would be really interesting seeing a video where you grabbed a crucial moment of the story (the death of a character, or simply a big event) and changed it. From there you could try to create a new timeline with this changed event or brainstorm ideas on the consequences certain change could cause.
I don't see the boys as "bullies" as they have good hearts and don't target people that are specifically weaker than them, I see them more as just "huge assholes"
@HarryPotterTheory. Has anyone ever discussed how all of the Horcruces were destroyed in the same order in which they were created? 1. diary 2. Ring 3. Locket 4. Cup 5. Diadem 6. Harry 7. Snake
Not to mention Sirius was also the cousin of Andromeda black ( later tonks ) due to her marriage to Ted tonks and had a wonderful daughter nympadora tonks the greatest auror
I wonder if we're ever going to get a story for greyback would love to know why he was such an evil guy because you know it always starts off with the parents the parents do something or don't do something or just were never there and things went badly fast still would like to know like the background story of like why certain did what they did how did they turn out into what they are
I don’t think it’s anything to do with his parents, tbh with how he acts it seems to do more with the way werewolves are treated by the wizarding world so he decided to play into that and create his own werewolf army to take over. Since he is embracing his werewolf side, even when he’s not transformed unlike Remus. He starts to become more animalistic and enjoys the taste of human meat
If albus dumbledore aberforth dumbledore lilly evens James potter peter Pettigrew remus j lupin mad eye moody regulus severous snape and Sirius black and everyone else can go back would they do the same things🔙👁🗨😡 🖤
You call Mr. Lupin's comment that all werewolves are soulless evil creatures who deserve death as one "aggravated insult"? It was hateful. Do you not believe he already harbored those feelings? Why are so many HP fans willing to sugar coat horrible behavior as long it's s done by s character they like? Mr. Lupin put a target on his familiy's back. How was he surprised by what happened? Worse though, is what if Grey back was a meek werewolf who never attacked people. Mr. Lupin didn't feel bad about terrorizing him in front of other people or expressing such hateful demeaning comments.
I honestly don't get why people like the Marauders. All of them were horrible. Lupin, while he did grow out of it, was too lenient. He was made a prefect so he could restrain James and Sirius, but he didn't. Again, he grew out of it, so I guess he's the least of four evils. Peter, goes without saying, is an asshole. He went along with James's bullshit just so he won't get picked on himself. And of course later he grew to be a literal rat. I don't think I need to tell you why James is bad. You know, I'd argue for superiority with him. He was a pure-blood, who used spells he probably learned at home to abuse someone with lesser magical abilities. It literally took his friend trying to straight up murder a guy to make him seem somewhat reasonable. Sirius is the worst of the bunch. He never grew out of his assholish nature. James probably wouldn't have done half tbe things he did if Sirius wouldn't have encouraged him. And I'll say it again, he tried to straight up murder Snape, and frame Lupin for it just cuz of a prank. Just as an FYI, the maon victim of the Marauders was Snape, but I just wanted to make clear that I don't like Snape either. I think he's very much like Sirius, a sad, petty man who can't let go of some stupid high school drama. Not to mention the blood supremacy and child abuse.
Because characters don’t need to be the best people ever to like them, because even though they’ve all did not great things people are 3 dimensional and it’s fun to explore that, especially with their friendship dynamic and what they did for Remus and tragedy of everything that happened
I agreed, either do I. Well, maybe Lupin. I don’t know if I would say, that Peter is an asshole. But he just a kiss-ass wannabe and scaredy-cat coward, who later which side when he go for the strong person that could protect him. James was just a straight up jerks and bullied, who constantly bullied and pick on Severus. Every chance he got. Sirius is absolutely the worse, when trying to get Severus kill by Lupin. I really lost my respect for him, as he definitely didn’t change. When he got older, he still treat and pick on Severus. When him and Lupin encounter each, in a Whomping Willow. While I think was bad for hanging and being friends with those three, but I think he he only one it’s more remorse and feels bad. That never stopped James and Sirius, for picking and bullied Severus went he should have.
@@o_huskywolfdean7 yeah I understand Lupin tbh even though it’s not right, I think that’s an interesting dynamic to explore because he did try to say stuff to them, Sirius even says he’d make them feel guilty about it sometimes but obviously not enough to stop them ans lupin regrets not doing more. However I do understand why he was still friends with them and struggled to get out of it. I think people need to realise in these discussions is that people aren’t one dimensional, James was an arrogant prick absolutely, I would be the first to say so and Sirius was worse however they also accepted Lupin straight away when they found out what he was, something most in the wizarding word wouldn’t do, especially purebloods and greyback was at an all time high then. Not only did they accept him but they did something dangerous to help him during the worst times in the month to keep him company so it’s not as painful for him. They are reckless and the worst to people they hate, like snape but they are great ffriends to have because they do the most either way. It’s even confirmed that James would give both Sirius and Lupin money after hogwarts to help them live, especially with Lupin since because of his condition he couldn’t hold a job. I think it’s interesting to explore how things aren’t just black and white. Look at snape as well for example, did he deserve to get bullied? Absolutely not. However we have also got to remember that he wasn’t any better in school, he literally hung around with a group of deatheaters and he sat by and let one of his friends use dark magic on Lilys friend and when Lily calls him out on it, he doesn’t feel sorry. Doesn’t feel bad in anyway, but instead says that it was just ‘for a laugh’ and snape was known to be that awful Lily even admits that everyone questions why she hangs out with him and she’s been trying to defend him for years but she can’t. She even says snape calls people like her mudblood all the time, saying a word like that during a huge war that’s killing muggleborns isn’t something that can be said by accident unless you were using it all the time, especially since snape isn’t even pure blood so he hasn’t grew up with that pure blood ideology in his head. So yes, it is awful he was bullied but I think people ignore how snape was also horrible in school as well, almost worst considering the circumstances and snape even bullied children later on as an adult as well, but he’s a character favourite. Things just aren’t all black and white from one character trait. Even though Sirius was worse to snape specifically it’s obvious why people would like him as well, Peter on the other hand has no redeeming traits whatsoever and isn’t fleshed out in anyway. Sirius didn’t change and didn’t grow up, but considering he was also locked in Azkaban for 12 years if his life wig dementors I completely understand why he didn’t age mentally
How come not every wizard is a bajillionare sitting on a mountain of gold and diamonds? Given that they are wizarrds/witches. How are there any “poor” witches/wizards?
Because they can’t conjure gold or money, that is made by goblins and goblins only. Just like with the sword of gryffindor, they can tell straight away when it’s fake
@@flintliddon yeah there’s a limit, it’s a book that Hermione even talks about there like 5 different limitations they can’t do. Making food out of thin air is one of them. There’s also a reason the goblins run the banks and make most of the powerful objects. Only they can, that’s their specialty
Its actually 6 amazing friendships, as first has 3 new, second has two new and 3rd has one new, leaving last one to be already amazing friend of all. So 3+2+1 = 6 not 4 :D Great video
