Here's a thought, maybe Hisuian Arcanine will get Accelerock instead of Extremespeed. Makes sense to me, since it would still be fast, but not faster than modern day Arcanine

I like the idea of Hisuin Typholosian being a Fire/Psychic Pokemon, there’s a badger Tokyo which gives it weird abilities, but as the Badger takes the form of a Shogun, you could have it that it has psychic powers that it uses to order people around, things that again Yokai are very much known to go 😁, also goes well with the psychic, dark, fighting triple but in reverse 👍

legends arceus is starting to feel more and more like pokemon and breath of the wild combined (which is a great thing). I mean the braviary is basically the paraglider and having to dodge rampant pokemons with split second reflexes is the flurry rush in botw. SO HYPED FOR IT!

@@HeelBJC I haven’t seen a lot of people talk about the graphics since the update, but I totally agree. To me the texture on the water looks so awful, and there is still a lot that needs to be improved otherwise it would just take me out of the experience of the game by constantly thinking about the graphics.

When Utsunomiya, the staff member that told the news in this pokémon presents appears, the shelf in the background contains plushies of the sinnoh starters and their final stage evolutions to the right, but only plushies of cyndaquil, oshawott and rowlet, and not of their respective evolutions. I think this may further imply the possibility of them having regional form evolutions.

I actually wonder if Growlithe will have an ability where it loses its rock typing when it's horn breaks? Maybe when it's defense falls below half it turns into pure fire and it's stats rearrange to make it faster but lowers it's defense?

15:10 The fun thing about the crafting systems is that if you look closely, one of the ingredients is apricorns, a clear reference to Johto and Azalea Town. This could also be a nod to the link between Sinnoh and Johto along with typhlosion.

With how I see it, if the entire point of the game is to be a researcher and complete the Pokedex, then I think it only makes sense to cycle out Pokemon as needed for further research and catching. the hideaways is the perfect method of including pokemon that wernt in game available in the original sinnoh games without haveing to change the overworld. it also provides a way of having a "wild area" type zone, and provides more flexability for adding things like maybe hisuian evolutions possibly?!

@@riskyworks Regigigas was a pretty integral part to the Sinnoh lore and since this game takes place in the past, I think it is likely we will get lore expansions, possibly from the ruins in the trailer. Maybe they will nerf it in some other way; I just hope they don't nerf its stats.

I hope it becomes a sort of "split evolution" (like Politoad or Slowking's evolutionary line) for the starters where, we can evolve it into their regular final forms, but with some different new method, they would be able to take on this new hisuian form. It would make sense since, the starters probably haven't been in hisui long enough to naturally evolve specifically according to their new environment. That's why I think a method like the one used to evolve Leafeon/Glaceon or Magnezone/Vikavolt would be nice since it introduces a certain element that wasn't in their old environment that allows them to become something else.

In my opinion Sinnoh is one of if not the best region to base a game which is based on the past. Because as we know, in gen 4 there was way too many ancient lore. And the creation trio is one of the best examples of that. Don't get me wrong, I really like other regions as well. And I also think that Unova and Galar are also pretty good candidates for this same concept .

The reason being called hisui is actually accurate to that region of Japan, or at least, its history! Hisui also has a lot of meaning, but it's believed to be based on jade (hisui basically means jade in Japanese from what I understand, if I'm wrong please correct me!) Lockstin made a great video on the region and its Pokemon!

I wanted to point out that a Shogunate based Typhlosion would work, as Oranguru introduced in Sun and Moon has been described as giving orders to other pokemon, so a Psychic Fire Typhlosion might work as well and would complete another Type Triangle in reverse, with Typhlosions psychic beating Samurott's Fighting, Samurott's Fighting beating Decidueye's Dark, and Decidueye's Dark beating Typhlosions Psychic.

In the lore of Legends: Arceus, the three hisuian starters were brought in to the region by the professor. Traditionally, regional forms are native to the region and has changed over generations. I'd love Hisuian forms, but i think it's unlikely.

While true, there are a few Pokémon that have had regional forms based on their diet or other factors. Alolan Raichu is said to be from Pikachu eating malasadas (or theorized in game to be), so while it’s possible to get regional variant starters, I’m not going to get my hopes up just yet.

@@Cometstarlight I mean, thats in the game code though, just like its in the game code that if you feed Kantonian Pikachu pancakes in Kanto, it still evolves into Kantonian Raichu. Lore wise though, it makes no sense they evolve instantly. Like, even with Galarian Farfetch'd it didn't happen instantly based on its shield dex entry: The stalks of leeks are thicker and longer in the Galar region. Farfetch'd that adapted to these stalks took on a unique form. ADAPTED being the keyword.

A note on the BDSP Dex: Galactic Grunts are shown using Beautifly and Dustox, which they use in Diamond and Pearl and not, by my memory, Platinum, so at least the trainer Pokémon might not be updated, which puts worry on Volkner and Flint's teams.

I don’t understand?? There’s a lot of evidence (to me anyway) that suggests Volkner and Flint will have their Platinum teams. I saw Houndoom, Electivire, Magmortar, and although it’s not a fire or electric type, Glaceon and Leafeon, which means Flareon and Jolteon are more than likely to appear also.

My theory: Prof.Rowan's name in the japanese version is Nanakamado, and His ancestor is Commander Kamado, Which means Prof.Rowan maybe the 7th generation of Kamado family, since the word "Nana" in his japanese name can be translated to Seven.

Here’s a question for Nuzlockers, so in Legends Arceus you can faint by getting attacked by Pokémon and it’s listed as blacking out which is also a lose condition of a nuzlocke so does getting defeated by a Pokémon in the overworld count as a loss? I feel it should since it’d make the game more challenging and be even more fun

Eh or implying that the locations they're found in ended up geographically restricted in some way That's the canon reason for why Kanto has so few Pokemon: the war drastically reduced the numbers of their Pokemon and they ended up being practically cut off from the rest of the world both technologically and physically and it's only in recent times other Pokemon have begun to return

well they might have just adapted to a more modern and less nature-filled sinnoh. Modern Sinnoh isn't nearly as harsh as Hisui seems to be, so Stanlers might eventually not needed to or were unable to meet the requirements to evolve. The rivers in modern Sinnoh are smaller than in Hisui, so Basculin were forced to remain small in size. Growlithes adapted to warmer climates, and braviary stopped coming to the regions and adapted back to their original forms. Or it could be similar to what the other commenter said/

Not exactly. Hisuian Braviary - When Rufflet in the Hisui region evolve, they become Hisuian Braviary. In the winter, this Pokémon flies in from somewhere farther north. It’s larger than the previously discovered form of Braviary and tends to live alone rather than in flocks. This kinda implies Hisuian Braviary can still be around in another region (Russia) north from Sinnoh.

Okay so i havent gotten to the end yet so idk if he mentions, but starter regional variants would make alot of sense considering rowlet evolves into a ghost type since hes based on an extinct bird and the game takes place in the past, so Decidueye might have not ‘died out’ yet.

I always thought the whole point of pokemon "evolution" was that it kind of speeds up that process. There are pokemon that literally evolve into other forms if you level them up in a different location... I still think Hisuian starters are a possibility. I see your point, though.

It may be the evolution itself that gets altered. The way I see it is that a pokemon is very vulnerable and susceptible to mutation while evolving and we definitely have never seen an oshawott or Rowlett in the sinnoh/Hisui region. And we havnt seen a cyndaquil in ancient Hisuian times. Evolution in the traditional real life way is very different from evolution and adaptation in the pokemon world.

In Legends Arceus, I wonder if they'll have the hordes like mechanics where other wild pokemon can engage in the fight adding to the turn order. Making your decisions for agile or strong styles more impactful. That also does bring into question if we will fight an evil clan and "trainers". Anyways the trailer has definitely raised my expectations!

The closest thing we can see to a trainer is a woman stading outside her house with a pokéball on her hip. I don't know if this is just to show that some people do have 1 or 2 pokémon as a pet or that she is indeed a trainer, but if there are trainers is this game that would be cool. she appears at 11:43 in the bottom left btw.

luxray is my favorite pokemon, it actually carried me through a few gyms, cyrus every time, most of the galaxy commanders, some rival fights. i depended too much on him but he was like level 40 before i started training other team members because they were ~20

I think that in a future game of pokemon with the overworld following pokemon, pokemon should match their speed with their own speed stats and when they are slower they can use moves they have to propell them forward like fly or just hydro pump a wall to push them forward but sometimes if the accuracy is not a 100% then it can miss and then the move will just make the pokemon fall cutely next to the trainer.

For the whole strong and agile thing, maybe its like a 1.25 or 1.5 multiplier to whichever you pick and a 0.75 multiplier for whichever you don't, so you can be 25/50% stronger, but 25% slower, so its more strategic

From a lore aspect I don't think it would make sense for the starter evos to change since they were just recently brought to the region by a traveling professor. Other variants evolved over time not right when they got to a new region.

Well‚ any Pikachu brought into Alola will evolve into alolan Raichu. Ant Koffing brought into Galar will evolve into Galarian Weezing. It's more a matter of the region's "atmosphere" than evolution over time.

People forget the Infernape and rapidash line are NOT the only fire types you can get legally in gen 4. You have access to Houndour which can evolve into Houndoom, a FIRE AND DARK type on the routes leading up to Lake Valor. You also can get an Eevee from Hearthome city and evolve it into a Flareon.

Fun fact the new balls ypu craft have new effects: Heavy Ball is actually heavier thus has a lower travel distance and works better if you throw it at a nearby Pokemon that hasn't noticed you.

yeah but they might evolve like stantler and rufflet did and the same thing applies with pikachu and alolan raichu they evolve depending on where you are. Even if you transfer a pika from any of the other games it will always be an alolan raichu in alola. And if you get a pika from alola and evolve it in one of the ultra wormholes it will be a kantonian raichu.

Remember the setting is very far in the past meaning the ancestors of present day are present so bc climates change over time the starters may have adapted to present day from interesting and different forms. Bc evolution lol. Not saying your outright wrong just stating my headcanon and reasoning. Hope its not too unreasonable.

The Direct is very clear that the professor brought them over from other regions (presumably their home regions), so they wouldn't be Hisuian forms anyway, they'd be ancient Johto, Unova and Alolan. If they were going to evolve differently, you'd expect they'd be in the wild, not just given to you at the start of the game, right? Stantler and Rufflet are found in the wild, and Pikachu evolving into Kantoan or Alolan is purely for gameplay purposes.

Not really, many alolan forms like Ratatta were brought in from other regions and adapt to their new region. Ratatta adapted to being nocturnal in alola to avoid predators, so there’s no region why these Pokémon can’t do the same

Maybe non-damaging move doesn't have styles? I mean, in a fight you can either do a quick jab or a full on haymaker but choosing to dance faster or more powerfully seem like a weird concept. Another possibility is that for power style would increase the effect (rain dance would last for more turn, stat boosting move raise one additional stage, spike would lay down two stack, toxic badly poisoned would start at 1/8 instead of 1/16) in comparison to speed style who make you act quicker but have weaker effect.

My team for legends will be typhlosion,basculegion,hisuian braviary,lucario and hisuian zoroark or whatever hisuian growlithe evolves into might replace any of these team members based on typing or if I think its cool
