You remind me of my cousin's husband who said he did not like cats, but put discarded chairs with blankets or towels in his workshop for the outside cats so they could keep warm and made sure all the cats were fed and his favorite cat was accounted for and safe before he went to work. Several years later he admitted he liked cats.

You care about all your animals whether they live in the house or outdoors. You are the type of person who should have a farm.

If you want to bring a little of the outside in for lil, maybe look into building a catio for her. Won't replace outdoors, but a good alternative.

Six months ago Lil dragged herself back to you despite a shattered pelvis and ruptured bladder. And now she’s enjoying safety, comfort, love, food, entertainment, and physical therapy on tap. Bravo to all of you.

That beginning quote is so true. When I saw the original video, just cried thinking of Lil out there suffering, the fact she made it through 2 days with her injuries & got back to her home just shows how strong inside & out she is. So glad she got great care & healed mostly.🤗❤🐾🐈

The warmth probably eases some achy healed bones. She is looking really happy as a house cat.

Also, Lil has you wrapped around her little paw....but she deserves every bit of it!

When my parents visited a vineyard in New Zealand in winter, they saw the extent to which cats will cook themselves. They noticed two wet cats in front of the fireplace, nothing wrong with that, except for the fact that the cats were lightly steaming, and there was the distinct smell of burnt hair. When one of them went to say hi to the cats, they couldn’t even get close. Then, when one of the cats did come over they said it was too hot to touch for the first minute. Moral of the story, cats will COOK themselves

Oh man, I have to admit that I'm kinda feeling sorry for Pablo - the way he pawed at the glass door, wanting to get in as well 😿 I know you need a cat living outside but man, if it doesn't feel a tiny bit unfair... On the bright side - I'm so happy that Lil adapted so well and that all of you are happy living together! ❤️

What a sweet story! I'm so happy to see Lil has recovered what seems to be 90%+ from her injuries. It's also good to see that Pablo has his own heated shelter out on the porch! When summer arrives, It'll be interesting to see if Lil misses being outside more than she does during winter :)

Yes! She is so happy as an inside cat, and loves the fireplace! It's so funny watching her bask and roll in front of it. SO glad she lived! But your other outside cat is lonely! Maybe you can let him in occasionally...or get at least one other cat for outside...not a kitten, but maybe a rescue if there is one anywhere near you...or ask your vet to keep an eye out for one...maybe about a year old or so?

"Non cat people" just haven't met the right cat yet. My "I'm a dog guy" is drinking tea right now under a blanket, recovering from pneumonia. There are 2 dogs and three cats in here too. The biggest cat on his lap. 6'7" man was no match for an 18lb tabby that looks like Lil Barn Cat, xxl edition. Glad she has done so well after such an awful event. I had the same experience years ago with a much beloved cat but wasn't so lucky. We do have woodstove cats on our farm (and a woodstove Frenchie) and it makes winter that much better. But Lil deserves a saucer for her supper! :) or at least a cute cat food bowl. It's Christmas.... ;)

Absolutely great and loving video! I didn’t know everything that had happened so, glad you told Lil Barn Cat’s whole story! I have a rescue who was born in back of my washing machine to his feral mom. He and his mom never had much to do with me and I was still working 12 hour shifts at the time and, therefore, didn’t spend much time at home, due to sleeping during the day. When I retired, he was 6 years old and became deathly ill just shortly after I quit working. Spent 6 days in kitty ICU and came home. Diagnosed with diabetes, he required quite a bit of care in the beginning. To make a long story short, he’s now 14 and is thriving! Not only are we bffs, but he returns my love with head butts when I ask for “meow kisses”. It’s amazing how animals can adapt and show that YOU DO make a difference in their lives! He gets insulin injections twice a day and comes when I tell him it’s medication time. Not surprising since he’s food motivated! Lol! His name is Ticker (because he was born with and still has a heart murmur) and he’s my friend! Keep your sweet cuddly girl in the house. It’s the best and safest place for her! Love your channel! 😻😹😽😺😸 And thank you for taking time to do a video on your special girl and including her at diner with you and Allison!

i wonder if being by the fire helps her with the ache winter brings. i've broke my left wrist twice and in the winter it aches so badly but being warm helps.

Awesome video! I shattered my pelvis in a car accident when I was a kid and had a hip replacement some years later. From watching her jump around and play I can tell you with confidence she is not in pain. That's an amazing recovery I'm so glad she made it!

Omg I have a few things to say about this vid. THIS IS AMAZING! She had a shattered pelvis and ruptured blatter and still fought to get home! The excruciating pain she must've been in. To take all those days to get home just proves how must she loves and trusts you guys. That and the fact that she doesn't beg to go outside a bunch. Not saying that if an outdoor cat never wants to become an full-time indoor cat, it doesn't love you, but it really seems like she loves your guys' company and is comfortable and happy enough to give up her old life. You dealing with your allergies so she can be with you is so special. Shows the type of person you are. Maybe they'll ease up eventually? My cousin was allergic to cats, but after rescuing one off the side of a road, her symptoms are almost gone after about a year. You never know. I refuse to be called a cat person too 😂. Just a crazy ol' animal person who loves her pets that's it okay? Keep up the amazing work with the vids you're pumping out. They're so great! I got my answer about Lil the Barn Cat (who became a house cat)... thank you for loving her and giving her a safe indoor home. Hopefully your allergies have eased up a bit. After a certain amount of time people can actually become immune (it varies with each individual). She's a keeper! 💗

So you should watch Jackson Galaxy, The Cat Daddy. He’s the best when it comes to cats and is absolutely ingenious when it comes to raising indoor cats.
