Hitch A Ride - My LLB Top Ten #1 

Yeah, Dale! Such brilliant performances by every individual on that stage. Brings me back to when that song came out. I wasn’t old enough to drive but was just old enough to hitchhike. I probably “hitched a ride” in many a car with this on the stereo! This whole Boston album is etched in my memory…good times! Thanks, Dale!

Great choice, Dale. The Renshaw mixed in perfectly and Tom’s solo has the “Scholz” tone down to a tee.

I’ll join the chorus of “great choice” on this one Dale. For me, the perfect harmony on the first chorus is just sublime.

Good call. Hard to top the Boston/Foreigner session. Everyone in top form. And the best backing vocals of any session, just angelic.

That's a good one Dale. One of my favorites for sure. It is amazing the talent in that room! Vande does a great job with those high notes. Austin is amazing on those keyboards. I also enjoy hearing you play the 6 string.

This tune (and the entire album for that matter) really impacted a certain segment of kids when it first came out. It really is one of those "you had to be there to understand" type situations. This album and that song in particular STILL give me the same feelings that it did when it came out. (and yeah that makes me an old timer now) And to be honest, Frampton Comes Alive, for me, falls in this category also. (they both are instant passports to that time) Great work to the entire LLB, this is hands down the best cover of that song ever done.

Had the same feeling as when I first heard this record in 1976. I was 8 back then...very well done.

I agree w/ your choice. As a 16 yr old guitar player when this album came out, it made a huge impact on me as well. This song and More Than a Feeling instantly take me back to 1976. Great work that you and the LLB team do!

another goose bump maker here, great tone and the dual solo was perfect. That Bass is just insane, the song would be much flatter without it. Boston is no joke and you all set the standard with this one.

Quite simply, I am always in awe of musical talent levels (as I guy who can slowly strum chords only). Tom has a Keith Urban cover ("Stupid Boy") playing through a Telecaster and it is the best I've heard. And the power chords at the end - I love that mighty tone. Miss seeing you in Lexington covers. Boston is so hard to play. Everything from the chords to the vocals (Bradley Delp reached places most professionals won't even attempt). Great job though. Love it!!

I think the Boston covers are the best ones ya'll did. You could have chosen any one of them as your #1. But I will say this, Roll With the Changes should be up there too.

I'm in SHOCK! When I saw the banner Hitch A Ride by LLB I was sceptical. Trying to successfully cover ANY Boston song is nothing short of a delicate and monumental task. You and the band executed it with almost every nuance of the studio version but went above and beyond as a live performance with everyone in the room participating. You did BOSTON proud! I couldn't help but wipe a tear of two when the solos kicked in ,the bass,drums, vocals,hammond, harmonics,clapping and the balance of sound throughout the band. Everyone doing their best to add and not dominate or take away from the symphony of sound that was running around Tom Schulz head as he must have conceived it. I was gobsmacked the way it faded gently away. Well done!!!🎼🎶🎸🎹🥁🎤🔥🤘💗
