He was immolated and yet his policies weren't radical at all - indeed they're the norm in Nordic countries. They're much more egalitarian and happier societies for it as well. We've ended up with a so called socialist Labour party sounding like the old Tory party! Job done - the dark money behind the Tufton St so called ' think tanks' and the NeoCon Braverman et al party can sit back and think the last 80 years or so of planning and Tory hegemony in order to deconstruct the post war consensus is finally complete. There seemingly is no real opposition to rapacious capitalism in the UK. Apparently tho' - we can only hope that Starmer will throw the ming vase down and say ' Ha, I fooled you. I'm going to be radical and not make the mistakes Blair & Brown did'. Well , we can live in hope eh?

The media hasn't talked people into voting for Labour, that's a misrepresentation. More people aren't voting for labour, less people are voting for the conservatives, by a large margin. That doesn't mean all those lost votes are switching to labour, and thanks to FPTP, Labour could receive the same amount of votes as 2019 and still get a 300 majority. Its like if you're racing against Usain Bolt and he trips, knocking himself unconscious, if you keep running and win that doesn't mean you were faster than Usain Bolt.
