Good vid. Agree on all. The explanation I read for shoulder swap paraphrased: 'people were hitting the button inadvertently. They were unaware they were hitting it and was causing problems. So we changed it.' Terrible reason. Especially for those who wish to use it intentionally. It really is useful for a whole slew of things outside of shooting guns. 15k hours oh hitman games, and I still hit wrong buttons all the time. REMOVE THEM ALL.
Yeah I brought that quote up in my first impressions video, but the person saying it wasn't sure about the reason nor was it an official and widely spread statement like this is. Bad change regardless.
@@TheKotti It is so unfortunate because IoI has been doing such good work allowing people to tune their experience with the hud and gameplay settings (there is still stuff like ui scaling and moving that could be added, but it still is a lot more then most games do). So why not just have a option to have the camera locked to the shoulder? New players don't accidentally hit the key and people that want to have the shoulder swap can enable it
Its pretty par for the course, the casual console player fat fingering the shoulder view? Remove it! Don't want those xbox and playstation players getting upset. After all, these titles are mostly for them. Its the same reason you aren't even able to be frisked with an illegal item.
The ET system not being changed has disappointed me quite a lot. And glad that you pointed out that Deluxe Escalations aren't really worthy the extra cash.
I agree with all of this. IO really does a poor job of communicating with fans, and when they do things like tell us that ETs are changing, but then do nothing different with them, we can only assume that they think we’re stupid and are blatantly lying to us. Also, I would love to see the lighting comparison; it still manages to be absurdly bad and hilarious even after seeing it on stream and in playing the game myself many times, and it’s an issue that more people need to know about.

I hope IOI will add themed challenege packs to Hitman 3. I really enjoyed the one in Bangkok where I had to kill people with an axe without being spotted, but also make sure the bodies are found. It made me feel like some horror movie villian. Great challeneges.
The hilarious part is I made a manhole required exit on Berlin map in contracts mode...assuming they would patch it later. Literally Unplayable now 😅🤣 "A Basement Dwelling with the Devil" is name of it on PS4 (BK2FUT is my PSN) and you had to escape via manhole so you could "go to hell" in the devil suit
That manhole cover issue made no sense at all. Is it just me or is H3 way buggier than the other two were at launch? I’ve lost count of the times I’ve had to restart whole levels to do things like interact with consoles.
Yes please do the lighting video. With someone as prominent as you in the Hitman community tackling this issue, they're more likely to respond and fix it.
5 escalations were 35$? There are only 3 kinds of people who would pay that. Either they are so rich that money does literally not matter anymore or they are content creator who get more in return so it can be seen as investment. Oh yeah and complete idiots who let themself get ripped off
The lighting is a real issue. I'd like to see you make a video about it. I think HITMAN 2016 had the best one because of the absence of overblown bloom.
great video - on the positive side the golden ghost in Dubai was a nice touch. yes ETs need to be changed - and pls make them more accessible, that's way too much content that people can't use 98% of the time

Yes. Please do a lighting comparison. Some maps look legitimately way richer and more atmospheric like Hokkaido and Marrakesh, but some maps like Colorado and Sapienza look significantly less appealing and hard on the eyes compared to the OG version.
Now if they can patch the staff door on Sapienza that would be great. The one that leads from housekeeper drinking, under the mansion kitchen, to the kitchen assistant on his smoke break outside by apartments/church area
I like these kind of videos. At least you can be critical and state what the game has wrong unlike some who refuse to speak the truth. Also I hate how contract mode hasn’t changed at all. The trending and most played are the same exact list of the same contracts. Really wishing for more restrictions like load outs and such for contracts
I'd like to see the lighting comparison video. Even if I agree there probably are loads out there on the internet, I haven't actually seen any pop up, so clearly there are not yet enough. Regarding this video itself, I have no major complaints. I'd like more talking to happen regarding the always online situation and how crappy it is, but that basically has not changed so fair enough not mentioning it in an update video. Maybe instead of generic gameplay footage, for the parts of the videos where you aren't specifically addressing an aspect of gameplay whilst shoring footage of it, you could include just some montages of crashes, disconnects, lag spikes, etc etc?
@@TheKotti I know you don't like how you were treated, and more than fair enough, but your run of Arabian Nights at that GDQ was, and still is, by far the most enjoyable speed run I've ever seen. You were charming, the run was of course very funny, the vibe from the audience was wonderful, it was perfection. When people ask me what speed running is, I show them that. I haven't yet found someone who isn't also intoxicated by it. Thank you for being amazing.
IOI just fails in so many ways. As far as we know their bet is still just to switch off the Hitman servers some day and fuck over every single customer of their games. Absolution contracts don't exist anymore, HITMAN 2 multiplayer got removed very fast. They don't care.
the unlocks in hitman 3 are disappointing. ALL of them are reskins. granted, they're more high effort than the mk2 stickers, but they're reskins nonetheless. hitman 2 gave us new shit like emp charges, tasers, briefcases, tranquilizers, flashbangs, emetic grenades, etc. hitman 3 offers nothing new to the table in terms of unlocks. this game is NOT worth the full price.
