Well trained assassins learn their target and area prior to mission execution. I do see your point though. However, if I were to have played this cold without knowing where everything was, it would have taken me at least an hour to finish. Which means you would have spent that much time watching me run around the map confused. That doesn't sound like something I or the audience would want to watch.
