The pirate haven of Ambrose Island is the next stop on the murder world tour for Agent 47. In the standalone prequel mission Shadows in the Water, Andy, Jane and Mike must eliminate a rogue militia commander and a ruthless pirate leader, as well as neutralising a satellite that is tied to some sensitive data. The first of those targets is Noel Crest, whose hobbies include slap fights, gourmet food and standing underneath precariously secured objects. Let's see how that works out for him.

Andy has green guns, yay! That icon next to Andy's map is the 'silent assassin' indicator. As long as it's green, you're on track for the Silent Assassin rating. It's a sign of the True Professional (tm). You can find it under Options/HUD and is a must for SA run. The timer is also very useful. [SPOILER] Jane: death by poison poisson? Mike: dropping a heavy object on someone just feels right for a clown. I hope he finds the cannons in part 2.

In all seriousness, the only item there that isn't objectively useless to Andy's run is the brick. Assault rifles are too noisy, too lethal and too visually conspicuous and so are the explosives, only more so. The brick can "harmlessly" and stealthily knock a guy out at a distance or be a one-use distraction.

The explosives are actually pretty useful this level, as demonstrated by Mike. Just lob it at the server rack and get out. I think Andy might be going for the keycard route so it may not be necessary for him though. Also I think the Molotov is there which turns out is a pretty game breaking

Oh man, I'm so glad I finally got to see these -- poor Jane taking the long way around to get Noel killed; Andy having to sacrifice his beloved pirate get-up but getting one of his targets to off the other; and Clown Mike not only finding an excellent accident kill, but ALSO taking out the server, meaning he's actually a whole freaking objective ahead of his compatriots! Damn! XD

The golden age of piracy lasted from around the 1650's to the 1730's, and tobacco was brought over from America in 1560. So a pirate smoking isn't terribly inaccurate, probably. They probably would have been smoking a pipe though, i I remember right cigarettes weren't around yet.
