Hitman Elusive Target 22 The Bookkeeper: FOLLOW THE MONEY

Hitman Elusive Target 22 takes us back to the militia compound in Colorado, there to assassinate a bookkeeper who is conducting an audit, because militias can be woefully inefficient, I guess. This elusive target also features a secondary objective: retrieving the bookkeeper’s ledger, which he doesn’t keep on him, for security reasons. Instead, it is located in a safe in the main farmhouse, surrounded by guards. Let’s hope they haven’t learned any lessons from our last few missions in Colorado.

I imagine the first one about to kill him, and then the second one came and was like "Oh, there's a guard, I'll follow them for an opportunity", so the first gave up being like "Damn, a witness", but then a third one came, and decide to follow them because of the witnesses, and a fourth, and....

Notice how the bookkeepers group had literally a head from one of the army groups. No matter whether you disguised as one of the spec ops, border patrol and militia/private militia, there was always going to be someone who recognizes you in that group. That coupled with hundreds of getaway SUVs the bookkeeper is a tricky run!

Mike's never learned anything? I seem to remember at least two instances where he blew up targets without harming anyone else and without being detected.

Came back to watch this after playing the re-released elusive target this week. I was feeling a bit down, because after meticulously clearing out whole areas, things suddenly went wrong and I ended up getting only 1 star. How gratifying it was to be reminded that the OX team also achieved only a single Hitman! Thanks guys

This time I decided to forego any fancy tactics, and just sniped the guy from the water tower. Watched him leave the house, waited for him to stop walking, then popped his cherry. Got three hitmans for the effort. Simple, but effective.

Props on the idea to trap the SUVs and scare the bookkeeper. It's a shame the game doesn't let you do that. (Though I can see why; that could make the mission a bit too easy. Especially for someone like Mike.)

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. And let's not forget, Mike's strategies have paid off in the past, including with the chef when he blew the guy up with a remote explosive and somehow managed not to kill anyone else in the process.

1:46 Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. On the second mission in Russia you have to take out a Russian Military Colonel and his informant from a sniper's perch overlooking a park. The issue is, due to rate of fire and recoil, that you normally have a very difficult time getting off two shots. Which is why, as part of your standard equipment for the mission, Diana gets you a car bomb that you attatch to one of the limos underneath the fuselage via the sewer system's manhole access which allows you to snipe one target and then proceed to book it to the exit as the second target is lethally exploded once his limo driver revs the ignition.

It's probably just me, but the Bookkeeper sort of looks like Tim Gunn in the title screen for this vid. I kept wondering when he switched to a life of crime. Perhaps that's why there are so many different outfits?
