Man, even NECA took a while to get into a groove! It doesn't feel real, it feels (this is a stupid way of putting it) like they're somehow cheating. I really can't even believe the quality and paint on these things, and if Ghidorah is as good as it looks, it might be the nail in the coffin for SHAM for a lot of people.

Looks absolutely amazing. Hiya is definitely the King of MV figures rn. Hoping they do all the KOTM side monsters so I can recreate that roaring scene on my shelf

Yet another great figure from hiya, and imma say it right now that this is probably the definitive articulated Rodan (at least for now) btw SHAM do be slacking on their release for kotm mothra and Rodan, Rodan seemed okay (but a bit overpriced) and mothra......we don't talk about that.

I pre ordered the 2019 Godzilla atomic blast/energy, I'm excited to get it.

Only one tiny complaint the eyes other than that looks great.

Neca rodans base accessory is cool but the stand warps over time atleast for mine. My neca rodan also has a wing joint issue cause they use them joint caps to hold the wings on where they fold and on multiple figures including that rodan the joint caps have fallen off and wont stay on. Making the joints fall apart.

One thing about flying figures and stands....I hate them, but as with MA Mothra, Battra, '93 Rodan and '19 Rodan, if they have an ab crunch, make sure all the screws are tight and use one "claw" to wedge under the back of the figure. The figure will be suspended from the top and you can screw the stand in a wall, rest on a shelf, ect and the figures looks great. I have all mine like this, and it looks like Hiya will be able to do this as well. I tried this on '92 Mothra back when she came out like what, 10 years ago, and she has never had a shelf dive.

I have every single SHMA released, with them all on display....except for 2019 which Hiya replaces. It's like Bandi does amazing work on all Heisei, but anything else ranges from good (Gamera) to sloppy(Monsterverse). I love that Hiya fits perfectly in scale with other SHMA, and from the looks of it, this Rodan is perfect in scale with MA Gidorah (He's way to big in the first place). I do have worries about Mothra though. She looks a bit to big and her wings are flat. While MA's Mothra wasn't the best (their '92 was kinda crap too), I love the curved wings, as it made her look more organic. I do love the added blue Hiya is doing though. Please just give us MUTOS!!!

The only thing i don't like it's the wings not being conected to the rest of the body,maybie they should've done something like Mattel Amber collection pteranodon who got the same style of wings but conected to the main body

The paint job is def giving a bit more Fire Rodan than what’s depicted onscreen. Not that that’s a bad thing, it’s actually a really cool look, it just may disappoint some fans who really like screen accuracy.

I’m also worried about the bendy wire, but I can’t recall the last time one broke on me

(For animation), i will give this figure a 5/10, first, the wings, while yes, they are good for displaying on a shelf, they are not good for animation, why? Well the bendy wings are the problem, do to it having that, it will be three × as hard to make it feel alive, and it's only good for flapping his wings in flight, do to how they are made, it will be hard to make a landing animation or a barrel role animation, and i feel like the wings will break over time doing too making many animations with them, and he can't look down all the way, meaning he cant watch a enemy from the skys or from a tall building, and his legs are made in a way that they can't move in smooth animation's without it going light speed. But the figure does have good jaw and neck articulation, but in total, it's a 5/10, if you dont have many options, go for him, but only if there are no other figures around.
