HJC V10 Helmet Review 

Yeah not paying $3-400 for a mid teir helmet.

Any helmet with this style but no shield will likely be the most ventilated. Thinking things like the Moto 3 from Bell or the Gringo from Biltwell. Using goggles or sunglasses creates an entire face-vent with similar retro styling.

Check the HJC V60 or buy the V10 and remove the shield.

Thanks for the answer, they are similar to the shoei ex zero which I have already tried. The problem is that the back and the top of the head dont receive any airflow.

So have I. I am looking for a gold one.

Local distributors don't decide design features like that, it would have been a HJC corporate call.

This HJC uses the HJ-41 visor. There are not any replacements in different colors just yet, but we imagine a few colors will be inbound from HJC in the near future. Stay tuned for them!

They seem to be available now. In clear, smoke, dark smoke, blue, red, silver, gold.

those are probably pre-production models. My asian / ECE model doesn't have it either

The UK ones don't have an exhaust vent .The pre production ones did but they fell by the wayside.Ec2206 though

I'm real late but this helmet is 22.06 is Europe, just not here or Asia because fuck anyone not in the EU

HJC EU website is showing it's ECE 22.06

@@austingreymaxwell yeah i've read the EU version not only has ECE but also vents in the back compared this US version for whatever reason.

also super odd is on revzillas own site, the product shots DO have back vents lol. so i dunno if this reviewed model was some prototype or something.

The V10 does not have a drop down sun-visor system unfortunately.

It's got the exhaust?? I wish someone would do a European review. In my country (Malaysia) we do have ECE 22.06 rating, but as far as I can tell it does not have the exhaust. It's so confusing.

​@@raimee81I'm in Japan and asked our distributor about it, and they said it's not ECE because HJC didn't want to submit it for the tests in our region, but it is JIS which is like a slightly better DOT. I wish they'd just let Europe lead the way everywhere because Jesus Christ.

Just get a Shoei Glamster or Arai Rapide. Only cost a tiny bit more, and you'll get ECE rated and that sexy brand badge.

FWIW, no helmet manufacturer is testing noise levels of helmets with the visor open. There are just entirely too many variables to calculate there (like your bike's aero, how open the shield is, the speed, your height, your riding position / helmet angle, etc) for them to even begin with. Most brands don't guarantee any noise levels for that exact reason let alone with the shield open. Ever helmet whistles or has more noise with the shield open, that's just the nature of riding a motorcycle unfortunately. Hopefully that clarifies a few things for you.

FWIW this helmet is ECE22.06 compliant in Europe, US version may be a bit different however.

@Geshmaal maybe to save money they didn't certify it? either way, it ain't worth the risk.

u probably got the wrong size. any helmet would shake when it don't fit well

So shoei neotec 2 and gt air 2 is trash because its only dot then.

@@banaana1234DOT is for the American market. ECE is euro market. If a helmet is ece in the euro market then the American version is probably guaranteed to be just as safe.
