this is one of the smoothest shooting, most accurate 45s i've ever shot. best purchase i've made in a long time. the 45 to replace all other 45s (excluding 1911 models of course). paid 1000 for mine, and picked up some extra tactical mags for 60 a piece. EXPENSIVE, yes! but you pay for what you get. HK is like buying a Ferrari of the gun world! you won't be disappointed. close to 1000 rounds thru it and NOT a single malfunction! i carry it and use it for home defense. i'd put my life on this pistol any day.
The HK45c is my every-day-carry. I'm 5'10" 180 lbs. and I bought a IWB from Hidden Hybrid Holsters and I was shocked by the comfort and concealment the package has. Thought it would only be good for winter with bulky clothes - nope, I can wear it with a tight t-shirt and shorts.
I'm really digging these HK's. I held the HK 45c in the gun store today and loved the way it felt in my hands. Sure, they cost more than my FNX and M&P but I love the quality of the gun. Top notch! I will be picking up my HK 45c within the next few days for my new conceal and carry weapon.
Just got my 45CT last week. Best shooting gun I’ve ever shot. I thought because of its size and weight it’d kick like a mule. Boy was I wrong. It kicks like my 1911! Maybe even less. Going to pick up an 8rnd mag for concealment after work today. Perfect balance of capacity and comfort. Sure something like Glock or FN holds more but they are bricks and have almost no comfort. Mine came with suppressor sights. Blacked out adjustable rear, Tritium front which I love! The balance is mind blowing as well. Trigger is good in my opinion and it is the most accurate gun I have shot. Best handgun purchase I’ve made.
Yeah, that damn keeper broke off a while ago. I am going to order another strap here soon. And another copy of the watch, so I can send this one in. Going on duty with me for years, and my recreational activities has really beat this watch up. I must say, it is the only one to hold up this long. I am very very happy with it. One of the best watches out there.
That's fair. If you can't shoot/run it well then you should sell it. I did the same with my Glock 19. Shot it great, but running it wasn't as fast or as well as the HK's I have. Even the SIG is easier for me vs the Glock. I don't hate them, but I honestly just can't run it as well, so, she had to go.
It was a group buy I helped put together. I am doing another one for the HK45 if HK gives me the go ahead. You may be able to find one on GB if you are lucky. They are going to be marked up though.
Didn't know their was another option other than the p226 mk25. Being all the internals are phosphate coated for the ocean :) Also just went by what Marcus lutrell was quoted say something about gathering the 9mm sigs anyway I was very close to getting a hk45 tactical in OD green or FDE but decided to get the fnx45 tactical in FDE was is amazing !!
Which backstraps are installed on these 3? Had surgery on my dominant hand that caused some issues with the webbing between my index finger and thumb as well as making my palm "deeper". My P30s feel best with the large backstrap. Sort of fills my palm and recoil is more evenly distributed across my hand. 1911's are almost torture due to the thin straight backstrap. Hard to find either an HK45 or 45c locally, much less ask the LGS to swap out backstraps for me to feel.
Accuracy question - I've shot a lot of pistols, but I've always come back to Sig and HK. My accuracy is great with west german Sigs. I shoot ok with the P30 DA/SA, P2000SK LEM, USP40C. I shoot awesome with the Full size USP45 Tactical. The trigger is perfect. Based on your experience, would you say the HK45c is about as accurate as the P30 or is it closer to the USPTactical?
Now my understanding is that a large backstrap is not produced for the hk45c. I ordered the medium with the hopes of perfecting the weapon. So far the small backstrap is far too small. Funny part is I am 5 feet eight inches and I dont have large hands but while shooting the small backstrap is just too damn small. If it was available I would purchase a large backstrap.
Also i have that same watch and its great but i think you should get a little velcro strap for it perhaps? The excess kind of bobs out there when you're shooting.
Just subd. Nice channel. I have a G19(gen4) and love it. Got this first due to it being simple, easy to use, and reliable for my wife to use as well. Know I want a 45acp for my self. I also want a hammer fired pistol. Im thinking of the FNX45, Sig P220, a XD45, G21, and the HK. Your thoughts?
love my HK45, and the P30 , How well does the HK45c conceal? Have a Kimber ultra covert II, but thinking about selling it to get the HK45C. Do you still love yours,( I know Dumb Question) Thanks for all the info, and are you still using the same holster . Thanks again, stay safe God bless
Hey, thinking of changing the sights out on my hk45 and p30 with meprolights. your opinion or better options. You were so right these guns just run!! thanks again
I love the meps for the HK's. The HK45/c/P30/L meps are perfect. The dots are fast to pick up, the posts are the correct size, and the ledge on the rear sight is perfect for one handed stuff. I am thinking of putting them on all of my HK's. I do like the Straight 8's on my German HK45, but they came on there. I am going to shoot them more and see if I like them. But for my fighting guns, those meps are exactly what I need. Hope this helps.
It was a special FDE group buy. We got 301 guns made, and that was how the package was setup. You can find one or two for sale here and there from time to time.
Happy to do it, and thanks for the support. The end of march will kick off new content. I have a few vids coming up here soon. But they are not going to be reviews or anything. A channel update, and some straggler vids.
I just found 2 extended 45C mags for $96 is that a good deal or did I just get ripped off and is there any where else that I can get a better deal on 10rd 45c mags?
It's not the capacity for me. I own the HK45 and USP 45 so those take that duty for me. The HK45c can do it, it is all about if it fits you well enough to use for that role, and you are confident making a hostage shot with it.
navyman8903 Thanks for the quick reply. So you feel it's a highly reliable weapon and recommend it? I'm shopping 45ACP pistols now, and am considering the Glock 30S or 30SF, HK45C, and Springfield XDM Compact 3.8. Any suggestions based on that short list?
gcdiver 1000+ rounds thru mine and not a single malfunction. NOT ONE! never had that before with any pistol. very accurate and smooth shooting. has the recoil of a 9mm IMO.
Yeah, helps with import laws, Gov contracts, and getting shit built. But..........yeah. Their service hasn't suffered, but if Germany fucks a part up, then a whole year group suffers, and they parts are back logged as fuck. Or the other way around.
This pistol is about the same dimensions as a Glock 19. It works great for IWB and was my concealed carry gun for years. It's a really good choice if you're looking for a CCW in 45acp in the compact class of handguns.
why buy the tactical? just buy the extra threaded barrel and get some tritium sights when you have a chance. then you have both models... 10 rd mags can be found for $50-60 only difference between reg and tactical are the tritium sights and threaded barrel, and it may come with the 10 rd clips instead of the standard 8. can't go wrong with either one!!
It’s always funny how people can excuse $1000+ guns that have a problem as huge as a “false reset” but excuse it and say the quality is a 10 but say that when a cheaper gun malfunctions it’s because it as a piece of crap 😂😂
