Yes, the traction fluid momentarily increases viscosity under high surface pressure, enhancing the traction drive performance by securing the optimum friction between rolling elements while cooling and protecting the system.

I am getting ready to install this kit on my 2018 brz. I was given a Vortech Maxflow Race BOV that vents to atmosphere. is it possible to use this to replace the bov that comes with the hks kit given that the original recirculates the air? I have looked for examples of others using that BOV on this kit but have not found any. thanks

Outside the prep work, such as cutting and grinding shit, this install seems pretty simple. Hopefully this kit turns out good for you.

There really wasn't too much modification that needed to be done. HKS provided really thorough instructions to make it easy.

@@KevinVo The only one that makes me nervous is having to shave down the dipstick piece on the timing chain cover. The other stuff you can replace with OEM parts if you revert back to stock, except that.
