Thanks for posting this review of the Scale Trains turbine. The included information about the turbine has multiple drawings of included parts. The door latch is a separate detail. As far as the grabs down the side of the nose, I would say that some of them were made incorrectly, as the locating holes look close to uniform. I checked my # 18 from the first run and there are several grabs that do not look uniform. Overall, on a locomotive with over 1000 parts assembled by hand, it is very nice.
Incredible. While my railroad could never justify a locomotive like this, I've always wanted one for my streamline express passenger train, with this B unit style turbine, as verses the B unit on other turbines which was made from an old electric locomotive 2-D-D-2 chassis. What an impressive amount of detail. It seems like this whole model is separately applied lol. Where does the injection mold end and the rest even begin? All these fine pieces makes me wonder, are they all glued in place by human hands or is there some kind of robotic application involved? It just seems like so much work to do, it must take a while to produce each piece. Great spotlight! I also loved seeing that turbine start spinning!

I have one of these Museum Quality #26 and it gives me a boner just opening the box up to view the three units. It's definitely Railroad Porn. It's the most exquisite piece on my roster. I haven't put it on the track yet, I don't want to break something. But the idea of setting it up and then leaving it set for the most part bothers me for only one reason. Dust and oils in the air, settling on the roof, etc. That's an impossible clean. Unless it's weathered. Then it's also a question of, do you want to weather an $800 rig? Thanks for this great video and taking the time to eye candy detail this for what it's worth and giving it the respect that it deserves, unlike some other channels that make me feel like it's an imposition for them to showcase the model. Overall, you have a nice channel. I'm a new subscriber.
Absolutely awesome model. I just wish the manufacturer’s spent as much time on new small steam and random diesel models as they do in big blow big boy challenger reruns. Nonetheless man I bet that was truly a sight to see running back in the day especially through Ogden blasting windows in notch 8 with the turbine. I’ve seen the one in display there and it’s a beauty
I have one of the museum quality ones (#1) and the 24c tender came with buckeye trucks instead of commonwealth trucks. The weird thing is I saw this on the website as well. The 2d drawings shown the correct trucks but the model photo shown the wrong trucks.
