HO Scale Westside Models Santa Fe 2-10-10-2 #3000 at La Mesa. #3000 has Soundtraxx Tsunnami-2 Steam-2 Decoder with a Railmaster 28mm speaker in the tender. The caboose is a Centralia Car Shops with added marker lamps which I installed.

Very cool. Good slow running but needs a much longer train!

I like the sound best when it is running slow. This type of engine, I believe, wasn't made for speeds much about 15 MPH because their boilers were too small to produce enough steam, despite being Mallet compounds. Santa Fe rebuilt theirs back into 2-10-2's after only about seven years. Fascinating piece of railroad history, though.

Why does it have a strobe headlight?

It’s the frame rate. I shoot at 4k 60 fps. The LEDs and camera frame rate doesn’t match, therefore the camera picks up the LED looking like a strobe. But to the human eye in person, the light doesn’t flash.
