On the last story the granddaughter ought to have filed charges for assault with the police, her scars and the neighbors testimony should be enough evidence, then asked the courts to put the grandmother in a conservatorship for mental illness (she is obviously disconnected from reality). Last story, IF I had ever had a family member like that, as soon as she demanded the keys to the house, I would have screamed at the top of my lungs, "Get your damn voodoo out of my house this instance, you old witch. I do not want your witch craft anywhere near me ever again. Your damn spells do not work on me any more." IF anyone was close enough, and she did not have a heart attack on the spot, she would never return to that house. Of course the op would never be allowed in her home either. The first story, I don't get why the FIRST, IMMEDIATE reaction wasn't to call the police (or, I guess, sheriff), have the construction workers arrested, work stopped. (At FIRST they were innocent, but completely ignoring the owner and his wishes, pushing through on what is now clearly illegal work, that's time for arrests all around).

First story. Yeah... No. If a work crew invades your land, you don't make an appointment with a lawyer. You call the police to have them trespassed. Then you sue for damages. That story is almost the same as "HOA built a parking lot on my land". I think these stories are just made up for amusement -- but they don't amuse if they are so unrealistic.

The first story is a load of c***p. The county would never repair this kind of damage to private property that it was not involved in committing.
