First story - You SHOULD have called the cops as soon as you found where it was - screw her, she belongs in jail

Story 1. OP should have brought the police in when the tractor was stolen. That would likely have prevented the rest

You were there first. You're not part of their hoa. You're not obligated to them either. Cease and desist and sue them for harassment and criminal damage to property and theft

FYI, This is why. When you sell a Car/Truck what ever. Always REMOVE YOUR PLATES. Take the Plates with you. Give them a Bill of Sale and Title. That is what they will need if THEY get pulled over without plates Until they Get their OWN plates. NEVER Let them Leave with YOUR Plates on the Car/Truck

When you sold the car you should have taken the license plates off That's their problem to get the car home not yours

If you own a property that is not part of the HOA dont throw any corrospondance of threats demands or fines away .File them and keep them when eventually they will step over the line. Everything filed will provide a good case for harassment

As to the first story when the h o a aka horrible obnoxious arogant a holes started sending letters op should have just ignored them and filed harasment charges. When the tractor was stolen and found on the thief's property op should have filed charges for theft tresspassing and destruction of property and sued the hell out of them and had a lien placed on their property to insure repayment. As to the second story when selling a car do not let the person pick it up untill it's in the byers name. As to the the scum that stole from the garden find out where they live a d send the police to their house and have them charged with theft tresspassing harassment and destruction of property. This is why it's good to have security cameras. When they were spotted the second time a recording made without them knowing would have helped when the police were called.
