It is easy for us to judge them and I think it is a big obstacle in asking for help. You seem like the nicest person ever! Half my family and 2 dogs have passed away in the last 4 years and life took over. I don’t have this volume of stuff but things can get piled up. I personally would have an anxiety attack just walking into a home this cluttered. It takes a special person to do what you do. Paperwork is my nemesis. I love how kind you are and you aren’t judging these people which would be easy to do. You do a great job!

When a carpet is really dirty, I like to vacuum, then empty the canister, and vacuum again and again till the canister stays empty. Makes me feel happy.😍

💗 you have so many comments so I hope you see mine. One thing I discovered is using a bit of fung shui. Doesn’t have to full in but the idea of how you arrange the room can make a big difference. I know it’s the least of their problems. But for a small room like this, her desk has her back toward the door. It really makes the room feel more comfy to work in, if it’s set up so your back isn’t facing the door. So my thoughts are for small rooms, suggesting that. I hope you like this idea. :)

I used to have a room or 2...or 3, that looked like that. When I let things get out of control and wanted to get things cleaned up and organized, I'd open the door, and immediately feel alot of anxiety and then close the door, vowing to come back to it. My motivation kicked in after watching all kinds of videos on hoarding. You don't see the dust and cobwebs and dirt when there's a mountain of stuff that your brain is focused on. Watching you in this room is making me a little anxious right now. I'm gonna go clean something😁

I absolutely love these - it's really helped me get motivated to sort my rooms out - thank u so much. Lounge tackled yesterday - instead of getting overwhelmed with the whole house and getting nowhere, I've decided to use just one day a week to sort 1 room only - n life will carry on as usual the rest of the week (I'll be dealing with the fall out of the lounge this week by dropping off donations and dealing with recycling n trash etc ) - then hopefully I'll tackle another room next week - also looooove seeing a dusty worktop cleared or floor vacuumed ❤💙💚💛💜so glad I found ur channel

once again another week of enjoyable motivation from you, thank you. no matter how bad a room is when I start to clean it, I start at the left of the door and just go around the four corners of the room. it helps me stay focused while not moving things from one place to another in the room, each quarter is dealt with at a time.

I've been finding it really hard to keep up with my daily cleaning and other chores while decluttering and packing things up to go out the door. But I keep on saying to myself it's all going to fall together soon. I find it hard because I'm working around my husbands schedule and daughters. I love the idea of decluttering, cleaning and reorganizing other people's homes. It's always satisfying. Especially faster and easier than our own homes. Like you say so often we are not attached to anything so it's faster and easier than tackling our own home projects. Making sections piling the same items and then going through one pile at a time. 👍

This is my favorite room of all. This is how my small garden house looks like on the inside, but it will be my project after I finish my house. Absolutely amazing work, Cambria. This helped me to get rid of my many boxes- breaking them down and putting them into my recycle cart... I showed the video to my friend and then showed her the much-improved garage where I was able to straighten and store so many things once the box collection had been vanquished. Was she impressed and was I proud! We went to her house and did the same thing. I had never been inside her home (we visited on the front lawn) and learned she is a hoarder. Thanks to your video and your kind demeanor towards the person you are helping, she has agreed to let me help her with a room twice a month or more often, dependent upon her anxiety level. 😍 so I've been watching these since u started your hoarders series and I love them and I love that u help these people! Annnnddd it gave me the motivation to sort my loft/attic out and turned it from a massive mess to actually organised and got rid of so much stuff! I did it in sections like u said and made it sooo much easier so thank u!!! I can actually go up there now grab the things I need and it doesnt take me 30 mins to find lol!!! Whoop!

HEART! LOVE your videos. My house has gotten just as bad as most of these, and I am totally overwhelmed. I can't even let someone come to my house, and I won't answer the door for fear someone will see inside. I have physical issues and need several surgeries, but also have 3 leaking heart valves, so it's difficult for me to work for more then about 15-30 minutes at a time. The mess started about 4 years ago when we were supposed to evacuate because a hurricane was coming straight at us (Florida). So I started grabbing what I needed/wanted to take. It's still all piled on my dining room table, and it just grew from there to the entire house. PLUS I'm one of those easily distracted. Then my husband needed surgery worse than me, so he had 2 surgeries with a year recovery. I'm so glad to have just found your videos, and I now feel I may be able to get started and finally find my house again!

I'm here for more motivation. I just cleaned off my bathroom sink and decluttered the drawers. This took me almost 2 hours! I'm overwhelmed and want to quit although I am pleased with the progress made.

I am more than grateful to have found you! My husband and daughter both suffer from PTSD and the hoarding and messiness that goes with that kind of anxiety. I have some depression and anemia so keeping up with the mess was too much for me. Then, I found you and learned how to eat an elephant one bite at a time. The process is slow, but the house I live in is looking better and becoming easier to maintain hugs and hearts to you!

Great job. I can almost feel the owner's overwhelm even just looking at this room. I've started tackling my own hoarder room. Rest of my house is fine. Was debating as to keeping or busting up cardboard boxes, as I intend to move within the year, but watching the great progress you made when doing that they will be my next target.

My father-in-law passed in the bedroom downstairs (it's a walk out basement, we didn't stick him in a dungeon) it has his stuff 8 years later, the toy room side took in water and everything is a mess (not moldy) the downstairs kitchen became a hot mess when my daughter, granddaughter and myself moved back. If I can get it organized and clean it's an apartment. Our daughter would have a huge bedroom, a full bath, living room and huge kitchen and laundry room. I wish you lived here! I need motivation because no one is willing to help in my family. You are changing people's lives ❤️

Ita rooms like this that are tricky and overwhelming but when finished you feel like you got a new lease on life and like almost an entire new room. In cases like this when its too small too cluttered or too overwhelming to be able to effectively do it properly in the space i get a tarp and put everything on it that isnt fragile or breakable or furniture and drag/carry in a bundle everything out into a big empty room like a rumpus or dining room anywhere where theres big floor space and it wont be in the way and then remove and clean all the furniture and fragile stuff and treat it with polish or whatever and then i go in the room and deep clean in like remove and wash curtains light fixtures vents put a new bulb in clean inside and outside the windows dust vacuum wash walls steam clean upolstery and carpets air out the room like as if i were moving if i could id paint the room even if it were just the same colour id give it a protective coat to freshen it up and give it that sparkly new feeling. Then id make a quick floor plan and general goal of the room what must be in there where the powerpoints are what i want it to feel like what i want in their thats not a necessity but adds to my wellbeing or comfort like blanket plants etc. And then once ive got the general idea i move the furniture back that i defs need and want in there and then find a proper home for other stuff and then declutter everything. I do the order of rubbish donate/offer to friends and then keep in that space, keep in house, keep in storage. If those others dont apply to the item. Oftentimes ill have a scan pile where i might take pictures picture or scan the item papers things i love but am keeping only for memories attached rather than physical need then once done i can gwt rid of them because i have the digital version to remember it. Its hard for me to get rid of stuff sentimental wise which is why i need that final like release or comfort to get me over the line enough to let it go physically. Each go through i get better and better at accepting it. But yeah it sounds like a lot of wor for one room but i find if im doing that overwheleming amd framitic of an entire space then i may as well go full make over and the decorating and all that is like the reward and thing that keeps me going through the hard bits and then that way since it ends up being really lovely i always keep it like that because i love the look and function and it helps me having that to then move forward with other areas that way when i need a break i can go inside that room or be in that area like my bedroom for example and just be able to breathe and not have to have clutter or anything and just recover my peace and motivation.
