Rumor has it HoBao is getting ready to release a NEW truggy. Just a rumor at this point, but considering how long the SSTE has existed, and the popularity of truggy style vehicles, it adds up…

Chris ,great video, as usual. The question with HOBAO is more or less the same as with some other companies, it depends whether you can find them in your country, and it's spares as well. If the importer is not a good one, then as you can understand the rc itself becomes less fun to play with ( i.e. if you have problems getting spares apart from acquiring the car ). And it made quite an impression to me, that there is a difference in their worldwide site, which is poor and their American one ( which is great by the way ). I too have heard nothing but good things about this company and it is a shame that I can't get my hands on one of them. On the other hand they should do something to improve their marketing in a global scale and not rely on RU-vidrs ( nothing personal with your site :) )

Hey there George , As you say stock availability is problematic indeed . And something to mention on that is what modelshops you have near you and websites within your country to order parts etc from . Its a real shame that your unable to get hold of these trucks ! As you say there marketing is not great and it does seem that they rely on owners with channels like myself to spread the word ! ( Seems very old school at trail of thought ) Ive heard that all that is about to change in the future with Hobao mind they have a new marketing team and a possible new truggy on the way very soon indeed . Got to luv Hobao, diffs are bullit proof. I have 6 Hobao's. SSTE VS1 buggy VS2 buggy SC8 short coarse Hyper TT 1/10 truggy Hyper EPX 1/10 on road cab truck All rollers.

@@ChriswithaCrc Really like how they drive, nice size as well & not to small. Really depends on how you like short coarse vehicles as well, I know they are not the most popular class.

Yours sounds just like Ricky's (beyondrc) SSTE, I was going to get the Kagama Roller but I think I seriously might be going for the SSTE!

Listen I got to say if you’re looking for something that is out and out fun you won’t go wrong with this buddy , it’s an older design that just works and works so damned well . Goes like a rocket 🚀. I am a fan of Hobao’s and love speedrunning the vte2’s I currently have the fastest in the Uk. I found the hing pin holders the week link on the Sste. Keep it 4s.

Hey buddy oh wow really wow just checked your channel so your aiming for 200mph at rossa wow , pat on the back to you buddy i would love to do that myself if i can . Ive not had to many issues with Hinge pin holders yet to be honest , what upgrade would you recommend for it please ? Stay awesome Chris :)

@@ChriswithaCrc I shortened an Arrma Limitless / Infraction one I bought from a breaker on eBay. There is a spacer next to the rear down brace and one eye fits nicely in that and the other end to the hole in the front where the buggy body mount would attach. 👍

Ive been thinking about it buddy , But i have the Typhon TLR im concentrating on at the moment so will be further down the line , Ive heard that Hobao are releasing a new truggy soon so waiting to see what happens there before hand. Stay awesome Chris :)
