This movie was hysterical! There was a scene with Dwayne Johnson and a helicopter in the last 3rd of the movie, that reminded me of another action movie character also with a fairly substantial air-worthy transport (Captain America:Civil War). Sure the Hobbs and Shaw movie plot had more holes than swiss cheese, but it held my attention, went well with my large popcorn and even had decent extra (during and after closing credits) scenes.

It always amazes me how people say "Tokyo Drift" was the worst one. But that's the only one in the series that's legitimately ABOUT street racing. The main character solves his problems literally by racing. The First two were about solving or stopping a particular crime completely unrelated to street racing; just taking place peripherally around it. That being said, my favorite of the movies is still "Fast Five". I remember the Spill crew not being too fond of it tho, which actually surprised me because up to that point, it really was a huge step-up from the previous four. It pretty much ditched street racing as a theme, and decided to focus on a heist and bringing in characters that previously had nothing to do with each other. Ten years in, we know they can win races. Who cares? Give them something else to do, that involves cars lol. I thought "Fast Five" found the best balance between telling a cohesive story (for F&F standards anyway lol), having likable characters, and having over-the-top action that isn't... well *too* over-the-top haha. I'm amused how crazy each movie has gotten, but I really hope they try to rein it back a bit with F9. Justin Lin is back behind the director's chair. Still the same writer, Chris Morgan, so who knows. "Hobbs and Shaw" looks dumb as fuck, and yet I'm looking forward to watching it later haha. If there's anything I can give F&F credit for, it's for being able to reinvent itself over the past twenty years so gradually, that now we just accept it and go with it hahaha.

Idris's motorcycle was soooo cool. I loved the movie just for him and that motorcycle. I as well, looked forward to everytime Idris was on screen.

Saw it with my nephew and enjoyed it. It was just hilarious seeing Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson play off each other. Will definitely be buying this when it hits Bluray. This movie definitely reminded me of Crackdown videogame or Saints Row 4.

Yeah, I could see this being an issue from the trailer. As a child of the 80's I have an appreciation for buddy action movies where the protagonists don't like each other at first and keep throwing smart ass quips at each other. However, you need to see the protagonists seem at least a bit nervous or struggling in order to be invested in the movie. From the trailer, it looks like the Rock and Statham are more focused on giving the finger to each other instead of the enemies they have to face. At some point, I can see that growing tiresome.
