I have Joanns and Michael's near me. Hobby lobby is about an hour away. Michael's has the new Caron cakes. JOANNS NEAR ME DOSEN'T HAVE ANY OF THE NEW YARNS I HAVE SEEN ON PODCASTS. There's many empty racks and spaces. They said they don't have any of the yarn in store. At the moment I'm saving so I can go nuts and get a bunch of the new yarns. I'm laid off at the moment so I thought I would use up some of my stash and make some crochet baskets this way I have stuff to put smaller items in. I crochet and knit. I have 3 pairs of socks going a baby blanket and a project bag that can be made in 3 different sizes

😳 For the amount that you spent, I may, just may, have bought two cakes of yarn where I live... And that’s it ! And that’s spending to get them shipped from a country with better deals than mine, AND during special sales 😭 or I’m really bad at finding deals, or I really need to move to the states just in order to be able to feed my crafting needs 😂 !

I didn't realize you were in Texas too. What part, if you don't mind me asking? I am in central Texas, La Grange to be exact. I have been wondering if the rumors were true about HL doing their yearly closeout early. Good to finally know it is actually happening early and that it's already hit Texas. I am totally not ready. I was thinking I'd have more time to save up. Last year was the first year I did the HL closeout sales and I started out with a budget of $100. I left having spent over $500 (about two shopping carts full). 🤣 If I can scrape up some extra cash for this year, I plan on taking a list with me and only getting specific yarns that I am interested in. I think it might help keep my spending in check. 🤣 Thank you for sharing your HL haul, I've added a few of the yarns you got to my interested in list. 😁

I am from Houston area! If you have heard of Lake Jackson, that is my city! I feel you lol, last year I spent like $120, but it was SO worth it and has carried me through so much crochet- and still does! I was in the same boat with planning for specific types of yarn and budgeting for it and everything when it swooped in out of nowhere!!

If you said, I missed it, is this a store wide clearance or just yarn clearance? I'm bothered by the idea of reducing the number of yarn aisles. It always bothers me when the amount of choice becomes limited. You made a wonderful haul. Of course, you wanted to get as much as you can. This is a fun start to your vacation!

I am not sure actually! I had a busy day so I ran in and did this quickly and didn't check the rest of the store. Usually the whole store will get clearance over a few weeks from my understanding though! Yeah I am SUPER bummed they are reducing the yarn too. This was an amazing start to vaycay!! I saw Cinnamon Stitches talking about it and checked different groups I am in to see if others had ran into clearance there. When I saw they had I ran to mine as soon as they opened the next morning to check. Keep checking, they all should do it but they have a few weeks before it "has" to be done!

Hiya! Sorry for being a little late to reply, I had a busy week haha. I have a little tiny chihuahua and a mixed breed smallish sized dog. My old man is the little chi and he is 12 this year! My target parking lot baby girl is the mix and she basically looks like a golden retriever puppy, she is 8 this year! She is some kind of terrier mix is all we can really tell looking at her.
