I finally have learned more about the editing. I have a lot of hours of videos that I’ve been going through and making edits to them so I can get them uploaded to the channel. So I will have a lot of good videos coming soon. I’m taking my Earl Moorhead limitless out this afternoon I’m gonna give it its first run. I’m excited about that as well I’ll have the video out first thing in the morning tomorrow.

@@eddieepicmedia hey so I finally bit the bullet and got my hands on my own 4WD electric sportsline. I’m stuffing the MAX4 combo in it (including the huge 70mm diameter motor) I also got the WFO motor mount and plan on buying some saga gears, I just need to find someone to machine the layshaft. Would you mind sharing where you got your graphite sheets from that you mounted on the body side posts? I want to compare that material to some black acrylic I’ve used in the past and I’ll probably mount my batteries on them.

Hello Eli. If you enjoyed that shredding session checkout the one at the end of the PART2 video. What I can say about gearing to keep the engine cool is to make sure you have a temp gun and gear up slowly and gradually , checking the temp throughout your sessions. You will figure out which gearing gives you a balance of high top speed and bashing torque without overheating. Experimenting with new gearing options and Figuring this out is part of the fun. Also make sure you have good fans on your motor. Good luck.

@@eddieepicmedia I have a limitless & a Vendetta. I just set the Vendetta up for 6S pulls. I feel like that will be the one to get 100 mph first. Limitless is also 6S set up. On 25/37 gear set with half dead batterie's I set my PB of 82

Thanks Jeff. Yeah , I'm with you man , speed runs aren't nearly as fun as racing but there is no tracks and no racing circuit near my part of town. Me and and friend are thinking of opening an oval track some day. Thanks for your comment.

The ZTW ended up malfunctioning , so I sent it to ZTW for repair. I never got a chance to use it. Waiting for It's return now. I am currently using an XLX2 in the Felony. I do not mind giving advice and links to the materials and tools I used to make the parts but I have no interest in making and selling the parts. I appreciate your enthusiasm. I know how it is. Yes I had the same issue to a slight degree. It seems like the body holes were not placed correctly

off the line quicker would mean smaller pinion. Smaller pinion equals more torque but less top end.

I'm not the right person to ask about "DRAG GEARING" Calvin. I have no experience in that field.

I believe rubber tires grip better but I prefer Foam for speed runs because foam is much much lighter in weight. On one of my runs I got 5 more mph when I switched from rubber to foam.

Congratulations Eli. With the stock gearing and a 800kv motor , I got 65mph. You should'nt be too far off. You will definitely have to gear up to get to 70mph if you are using a 560kv motor but it should be easy to get there.

I will first try to find a place it may sit on the chassis once I remove the ESC. If I find a place I will simply use "dual lock" which is a stronger version of velcro. Many people in this hobby use "dual lock". Dual lock is how my HobbyWing Max4 is stuck to the mount I made in my Sportsline. If I can't find a place it will sit flat on the chassis I will have to come up with a mount. @@calvinmcgee4681 I no it got kind of confusing when I start talking about the pinion and spur but, it is 27t pinion and 44t spur. I have a 37t pinion and a 38t spur that I will slowly work up to. And no , it doesn't get hot. Even without the fan my temp is 114 degrees tops. Which means I have plenty of room to gear up.

I went to Ace hardware and bought some copper Or metal wire you can buy by the length. It’s actually thicker than wire and more like the thickness of a metal dowel or pin. You should be able to find this at Ace Hardware.

use the holes on the top of the upper most battery braces to put screws to hold your esc plate down

@@eddieepicmedia ok I get it run wire through the first parts then screw my esc base to the corners on the top part reinforced with super glue between the these pieces almost like your stacking bricks.

Hi Dalton. Thanks for engaging and watching. I can say that with the stock gearing it was at 65mph. I went up from 22 pinion to 27 pinion in this video which got me from 65mph to 88mph which is 23 more mph. This was why I was pleased. I would add that once I changed the spur which was originally 44T down to 38T , which is the current gearing , I now get 102mph. I understand your surprise being that it's 12s. I can only say that it probably has to do with the weight of the car and the low kv motor. (800KV). I will post a future video with it's faster speed. Thank you again Dalton.

You don't get the full function of it unless you use the ezrun motor that hobbywing pairs it with. I am speaking of the Ezrun 70125 Brushless Motor. This motor is only 560 kv . Too low for my purpose. So unless you use the ezrun motor you don't get the full benefit like motor temp reading.The Max4 ESC does have an auto cutoff feature if it gets too hot which is comforting.
