In this video I will show you how easy it is to set up a Hobie Bravo. It took about ten minutes, at a relaxed pace. The winds were pretty strong, at about 12 to 15 mph. I plan to upload more videos of the Hobie Bravo sailing in the near future, so subscribe if you are interested; and don't forget to hit the like button.

Thanks for a helpful video, I just bought one of these (craigslist, $1500 !!) and now I know what to rig and check. I see the masthead float was not used, maybe I'll leave it off since I'll be sailing in a shallow marsh at first. I just need to invent a technique for getting the hull onto the ground from the bed of a pickup.

I like your home made mast support. Also what are you using for carry handles? I have gone through a few and Hobie replacements are getting harder to locate.

Thanks for the setup video. I'm looking into getting my first small hobie for some east coast bay sailing. I'm considering the Bravo for my first. Love the simplicity of the setup, seems great for beginners.

@devwreck Honestly, you can't go wrong with a Bravo. They are so much fun, can sail in all conditions, and are VERY easy to set up and take down. I have had several different sailboats, and the Bravo has been my favorite. In a nice breeze, I have gotten up to a little over 10 mph, which feels really fast on a sailboat. Also, it can hold a lot of weight. I used to sail with my wife and two children onboard, that's approximately 450 lbs., with no problem. My favorite thing about the boat is that it has a perfect platform for taking a nap. You can see that from the video about my homemade shade canopy. Whenever I'm ready to take a break from sailing, I go back to my car to pick up my blankets, pillow, and canopy; I sail over to an island, and then just chill with a book. With a canopy overhead to keep the moisture off, you could actually camp with this boat overnight. I am planning to do that soon, myself. Take care...

Was the rudder really down? Thinking of getting one or the adventure iskad. Any room for a cooler because AZ is HOT!

Мне показалось, что парус для данного ветра слишком большой и левый ауттригер (поплавок) полностью ушёл под воду. Опасное плавание! Но сама конструкция смотрится великолепно.

A Island trimaran is more like having a kayak with a sail there great for fishing not so much for racing or purely sailing if you want to eventually get another sailboat ide go with bravo or a hobie wave if you want to use it for just sailing
