The tank looks. Like the old Husky’s. Used to seeing all the Hodakas with all chrome tanks. Great job on the rebuild

Back in my days, that was the bike! I lived in the little town that distributed these kool bikes, Athena Oregon. And they still have a Hodaka days also

I started MX IN 1970 at 8 years old. I had a Hodaka Super Rat as my first bike before jumping to a KX250 and stayed with a new KX every year and made it to expert in the 250 class. Living in Southern Idaho on a large ranch/farm was great as dad would grab the tractor with a blade and make me a track. In the winter we would move all the dirt from the potatoes in our huge potato sheds after the spuds are gone of course and I could ride all through the winter as well. I wish I had that bike now. Was a great little bike and never had a bit of trouble with it.

Back around 75 I had a Honda SL 150. Rode the heck out of it with my friends on their 2 stroke Yamahas. I'd look at the dirt bike mags with Hodakas, Bultacos, Huskys etc. The Elsinor was Honda's best offering at the time I think. Great times!

When I lived in Jacksonville Florida in the early ‘70’s, there was a sort of ranch where you could rent dirt bikes by the hour. They were Hodakas, and I rode the crap out of them for hours on end.

I had a ACE 100 that. Started racing on in 1976 , and my cousin had a stein wombat 100 , it had small wheels, we had tons of fun on these hodakas , thanks BigAl California.

I was 10 in 69 and LOVED that bike! Got a Honda CT70(!) in 72, but still wanted that Hodaka

OMG... Jim Stein.. Im no kid either... I remember riding with him at what was called the End of L ..in Calimesa in the 70s... He had a Maico .. I think it was a 400 and he was viscous. Bell Star helmet.. I had a 175 Yamaha CTI stripped down for the dirt. Bell Star....Torsten Hallman gloves.... There was an informal MX track right as you got there..and we wore it out...Hes still riding..and I am too...22 motorcycles later. He will remember riding there in the 7Os too....

Cool, I had one similar when I was younger . A super hill climber, although I weighed only 118 lbs. It would screem up hills , mud dirt road's, everything. Very nice off road motorcycle. Super Rat legend.Thanks.

Love the chrome on gas tanks. I was in high school when this Hodaka was popular, I was riding Kawasaki and paying for it. Hodaka was cool, few had them.

Looks like a *Webco* head! I recall seeing stuff done like this in the mid-seventies. I didn’t have near the money back then…

My first bike was a 1971 Honda SL100. My first motocross race was me and about 12 Super Rats. Lol

Its a beautiful bike but its not a Hodaka Super Rat. Its a homemade vintage race bike , nothing on that is Hodaka.

have you notice this wacko put bell helmet sticker on the rear sprocket. what a joke. even modified hodakas were cheap low performance bikes.
