This has me in tears I'm so excited that the game is finally hear! So happy to see Sue's player character, I hope she's enjoying being able to play now!
The Wands customization is wonderful, the whole review was a great one, gave us some tips and pointers before we step foot into the world of legacy, Thank you very much and I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for some of those things💙
Much love James, it's been great to see you and your wife's journey up until this moment, a very happy moment indeed my bro 🤜🤛 I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos and even streams! Lumos
I just switched my location on my Xbox to New Zealand. AND I CAN NOW OFFICIALLY SAY THAT IVE PLAYED HOGWARTS LEGACY🎉. I want to thank you for your hard work at giving us the latest and greatest!! Ever since the very first leaks, Ive been patiently waiting for this game and it finally is here. Does not feel real. 💙💙
Yours was the very first review I saw this morning, and it did not disappoint! Great review, James. You and Sue both did a great job designing your avatars! Can't wait to get into the game later!
Thankyou! I have avoided any HL content since your Feb 7th live stream as I indulged myself in my own journey, but how wrong I was, your review is spot on, no spoilers and a magical review of your early access experiences. Thanks again for sharing and keep on having fun out there.
I got it early and I'm enjoying it. Besides any technical issues I wished left on the D-pad wasn't Revelio but instead a 5th Spell Slot for the utility spells. (Lumos, Revelio and Reparo)
Thank you James for the review. We can't wait to see you and your wife Sue stream the game play live. I was absolutely floored when you showed us the size of the map. Holly mollie!
Maybe this has been answered elsewhere, but can you change the look of the wand imported from Wizarding World? I want to get the rewards for importing but I’m not sure how my wand looks (as all wands seem to look the same at the end of the quiz). Does anyone know if the imported wands can be tweaked just a bit so players can keep the import rewards?
@@XpectoGO how it actually showcases what just happened to you with the [redacted] appearing to the player was phenomenal and all that combined with a exhilarating soundtrack, it is phenomenal.
I'm counting the hours until this finally opens to play! I can't wait until I get to (FINALLY) attend Hogwarts myself. The sheer nostalgia this brings back just thinking of it brings me so much joy. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but the Wizarding World was definitely (and obviously still is!) a source of comfort for me. I believe I was 11 when the first movie came out, and I remember falling absolutely in love with the world. Without a doubt, my favorite scene is when Harry visits Olivander's to get his wand. To get to have that experience first-hand in this game..I just can't even put it into words. I'm truly grateful that there are mega fans like myself out there who actually put their love, devotion, and incredible attention to detail into this work of art.
The game truly does look amazing, however one minor gripe is I'd love the graphics to look closer on par to Horizon or God of War. I get the matte filter they added makes everything blend more, however personally I prefer more contrast. I'll probably mess with personal tv/graphics settings as I see fit.
I was originally going to watch only a couple minutes of this, since I'm afraid of seeing spoilers from RU-vidrs, but I found myself watching the whole thing. Excellent video! I'm hoping I'll be able to play the game tomorrow night. I can't wait. I loved seeing your footage of the school. (I didn't consider anything in your video spoilers, btw, and it would have been my own fault for clicking on the video if I'd seen one. LOL. I'm laughing at myself right now for not being able to stay away from these Hogwarts Legacy videos.)
So glad to hear your voice James (and Sue at some point)! Parting from WU was such sweet sorrow. Keep us abreast of new findings and thoughts as always. 💜
It was so much fun to analyse every frame of trailer we got from Avalanche, thanks a lot for wonderful experience and cannot wait to entrance hogwarts by myself
Based on what I've seen, it really only affects combat difficulty. And you can change the setting from the menu at any time. If you are finding it too easy to be a challenge, make it harder. If you're getting frustrated in combat, lower it.
Thank you so much for this video! I can’t wait to play it in a couple hours and you and your videos are the main reason for that! Thanks for spreading the lumos and doing so much for this comminity!
Hope everyone, that will be playing this game, truly has a magical and joyful adventure! Just wanted to hop in today to wish this to everyone. Not watching videos today. Take care ❤
Merlin confirmed? 👀 I can't wait to watch a stream of the game, I've ordered it on PC, so I'll only be able to play it on Wednesday 😢 But I absolutely love your videos and I'm eager to see more content! I also literally teared up a little watching this, it truly is magical 🙌
Just a really well done game in general. Better than I expected which is a great surprise. 9 hours in myself and just started exploring the world more. Well done avalanche.
Graphics look amazing, but to me looks very over saturated in colors and nighttime and dungeons/castle at night look way too bright like most games these days, and it's sad. Hopefully someone will make a mod to desaturate and make it less bright soon. Not really a review when you have not finished the game first yet. But Nice early look and got me exited for tomorrow.
James my man! I loved going back and forth in chat with you over all the theories on this game. It feels like a dream that it’s finally here. Sticking with you until the end with all Hogwarts Legacy stuff!
@@XpectoGO I really appreciate the time you put into these videos, means the world to a lot of us that an amazing content creator and person in general is sharing this wonderful wizarding word with us. Much love man, I'm excited to what the future becomes of your channel!
My predictions: 1.) You are aware of magic, a late bloomer, you get your magic after something traumatic happens to you. 2.) Professor Hecat dies, this way we can have a new DADA professor in the second game. It’ll create another similarity to the original series, but not for the same reason. 3.) Merlin’s half important 4.) We’ll be the deciding factor of whether Sab’s sister lives or dies. 5.) Someone in the poacher factor killed Natty’s dad and she wants justice for her dad, but maybe conflicted with getting revenge. 6.)Natty/her mom teaches us how to do wandless magic and how to become an animagus . 7.)Poppy ain’t as sweet as we think. 8.)George Osric is not to be trusted, perhaps he’s who Rookwood answers to or is working with and was probably the one that killed Fig’s wife.
This game has so far (about 20 hours in) both positively surprised me, amazed me and disappointed me. I have a long list of things i absolutely love about the game, but also unfortunately a list of things im really not a fan of. That being said the game is still overwhelmingly positive in my mind. I play on ps5 on fidelity mode and has had no frame drops or lag or anything what so ever. And i personally do not mind a bit of pop in or loading on doors, since its rare and quickly over. I am VERY impressed by the graphics on fidelity mode. I have never seen anything look this good ever. The soundtrack and world building is amazing. Every scene and every character is so well detailed! The dialogue is in my opinion amazing and feels really immersive. The opening scene of the game was so AWESOME. And im really enjoying playing in general! However what has disappointed me is: 1. i've had a few graphical glitches with missing textures and with the targeting UI not showing. I have also had a rumble issue where after i died in a battle the controller didn't stop vibrating till i reloaded the game. But its minor non game breaking bugs so i'll survive. 2. There is absolutely zero reason to go to your common room, except for the one chest quest. Other than that, you cant sleep in your bed, you cant interact with other students and you dont have a wardrobe or storage chest. Which to me is just sad that my house in theory matters absolutely zero. 3. Professors and friends dont even notice you. Sure you can get quest dialogue and after a certain point you can have a singular conversation outside of quests with each professor. Its just very very immersion breaking that they dont even just say a simple "oh hello there" or something when you walk past them. Its like you are invisible or dont exist. 4. almost the same critique for sneaking/unlocking chests and rooms. Unless you are in a sneaking quest literally no one cares that you break into their house and take their things. No reaction, no comments, no nothing. No repercussions. No immersion. Also you cannot sit down at all anywhere. Even Skyrim got that right ("even" as in the game is ancient by now). 5. You progress way to fast in regards to levels and collections compared to quest progress. In the first 1,5 day i played i climbed to level 25 and have uncovered just about every page and completed most collections yet i am only in the beginning of the main quests. Sure in one regard its good that there are still so much more story, but eventually it will feel stagnated because you literally do not grow past level 40. Even as level 25 i have unlocked almost all the talents i want. 6. "dungeons" are both way too small and with little to no reward. each treasure cave ive visited has taken me about 7-10 meters into the ground, no enemies and ONE singular chest. Usually with a cosmetic clothing option i already have and with worse stats than the one i have. The story related dungeons however are amazing. Great puzzles, great enemy battles and great amounts of loot.
Everything you said about your disappointments is true. I agree : the first 15 hours (or so) are amazing. Then, it takes 15 more to complete the story. Then, you slowly realize that the game is over. There's no replayability. This game is a 30 hours experience. Let's face it : February is not over yet and the hype is already fading away. Given the fact that your choices don't matter at all, people start to realize that there's no need to create a character from each house. I created two characters, went through the scenario twice, and I just stopped playing because everything was identical. Exploration was fun, though. I might go back to fly on my broom once in a while. Only nine days after the game's release, this is sad.
I started my adventure on the hardest level. Slithering 🐍. And I freaking love it. 9/10 graphics sometimes glitch, there’s sum lazy writing but it’s a dream for sure. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I kno game is amazing it truly is but disappointed in not being able to dive in black lake and explore the creatures not that far in but I did do a quest in black lake and was hugely gutted I didn't dive in see a mermaid and few other creatures
James, much love❤️been watching your HL content for a while now and will continue to🫶🏽you’ve come so far and the game is finally out! Thanks for bringing us the LATEST and GREATEST in Hogwarts Legacy content. Lumos! 🪄
how interesting is the story? do your actions have any real impact? is there any player agency after you make your character? how's the enemy AI? is combat repetitive after the first few hours? more than just the castle and small town?
Kind of glad I only have a ps4, because I've been sick for the last 2 days, I feel that I wouldn't be able to do the game justice while I feel thos bad
