Technically the basilisk isn’t just down there roaming about. It’s been put into a sleep by Salazar Slytherin and is waiting for his heir to awaken it, which Tom Riddle does in the 1950s and then later again (through Ginny Weasley using the diary) in 1992. During Hogwarts Legacy, it would still be dormant in that sleep Slytherin put it in. Interestingly, if Ominis Gaunt wanted to, he could have opened the Chamber of Secrets and awoken the Basilisk himself. He even knew of the Chamber and Slytherin’s desire for his heir to do it (there’s a page in the Scriptorium laying about that says as much that you find while in there with Sebastian and Ominis). All he had to do was locate the entrance and then he would’ve met all the criteria. He was a Gaunt (a direct descendent of Slytherin), was a Parselmouth (needed to open the chamber), a pureblood, and was even blind meaning the Basilisk wouldn’t have been able to petrify or outright kill him with its sight.
It would’ve been funny if the game developers knowing players would try glitch and clip down there. They actually put in the basilisk that instantly kills your character for going somewhere you shouldn’t.
@@choysumyou obviously never read the books, watched the movie or played the game cause if you did, you learn that it was Salazar Slytherin who put the basilisk down in the chamber of secrets
The fact there's that initial little hole right inside the sinks could imply some dev had planned for something related to the Chamber being in the game at some point. All the other stuff encountered could be easily explained away as just terrain junk, its very common in games and doesn't actually mean anything even if it DOES look like tunnels. Maybe there was some Gaunt storyline that got cut early on? Maybe the original Slytherin House mission had us go into the Chamber with Ominis for some reason instead of helping out Scrope? Since we know they didn't have any plans for DLC, it doesn't point to a DLC. But if they take cut content and make DLC out of it, I hope we do get a Chamber in some way.
the way i heard, originally we were gonne be able to enter the chamber but the devs scrapped it before the release because they felt it wouldn't be faithful to the books and kinda trivialize the chamber itself
@@purplelizard2460the only way it would be a problem is if they actually woke up the basilisk because it’s supposed to stay in that sleep Slytherin put it in until Tom Riddle wakes it up in the 1950s. Just having the character go into it for whatever reason (along with Ominis because he’s the only one that could open it) wouldn’t be an issue.
@@plagues-haze-3987if you consider Salazar Slytherin creating the chamber and putting the basilisk to sleep opening it then yes. Tom riddle in 1943 was the first person since then to open it. Ginny after and Harry after that
Huffelpuff can go to azkaban… they should have given slytherins the option to enter the chamber at least Edit: wooow i never got so many likes and comments 🥰
I play Hufflepuf but i didn't knew immediately that only us could go to azkhaban. But finally it's not a big thing, you know. So you didn't missed a lot.
They can't because it would conflict with Harry potter movies. If there was someone other than Tom who knew then that guy would have to be significant in hogwarts lore
Honestly, I would have loved to just hear strange snake sounds coming from the sinks during the night, it would have been a perfect easter egg for me. :) Thanks for showing us what's under it
Could this mean that it’s in the game files? Possible dlc down the line? Because they say usually if nothing is down their nothing is coming but their actually was structure down their. So seems highly interesting.
When the professor “goes away” for a little while, he’s actually clipped inside the map. I found him when I glitched out and was able to fly underneath. Happened when ai would instantly run to a door that hasn’t fully loaded in yet.
There are a lot of places in this game that has to be loaded into such as caves and rooms, maybe clipping into the chamber wont work because it has to be loaded. 🤔 🤔
Yeah it would have kind of busted the timeline. So they put the sciptorium instead. Although I find it really interesting that in this game if you choose to leave the repository intact...in theory that means in Harry's time it's just sitting there and somehow voldemort nor ANYONE ELSE would ever find it again lmao. I wonder if the right ending is to actually TAKE the powers..because otherwise I don't see Voldemort or Dumbledore not knowing about it
Why would they model those two support beams where you can't access the area to see them anyway? A lot of resources can be saved if devs only model what you can actually see in-game.
I believe it's part of an underground harbour. Actually, if object ends in ground, it's always better to make it's base side larger, as you can sink it as you wish. Pillars or tree trunks are best examples. Also it won't require any more resources, as this would be modelled anyway.
Espero no llegar demaciado tarde pero si se tenía planeado ese contenido en el juego pero como siempre la escusa es no tuvimos tiempo pero hay está a medias haber si nos permiten ponerlo en un dlc
It wouldn’t ruin the lore, there’s is evidence within the lore to show that between the chamber being built and Tom Riddle entering it was opened multiple times, so as long as they could make an interesting story of it that didn’t go against what we already know it could be done
True, but Ron imitated Harry's parseltongue and managed to open it. So maybe there's books about talking with snakes that they could add as a DLC mission focused on the Chamber. Would be badass if they added movie/book specific quests that are similar to what Harry did without breaking lore. They could really make this game into a monster of a game. People would be stoked to pay for things like that.
so wait, the devs of the game were like ''no we have never thought of doing dlc and moved on to fixing the bugs and HL 2'' then you find this and im like '' are the devs pretending they have no dlc in plans and telling us no we dont think we are going to do dlc, when at the end they have a 4 to 5 year plan of dlc hummmmm'' that looks like some stares are going to go there leading all way down to the pillows ..thats my guess
You know it would probably be cool or net if you could go down to the chamber you know more of a clubhouse but then again the snakes also sleeping so that's why
technically no it gets opened the first time in 1942 by tom riddle they could make a sequel to hogwarts legacy that starts in 1942 although its true its never seen until 1992 when harry takes ron and prof lockhart into it to save ginny
Not true in Harry Potter lore is states the chamber has been opened several times between the time of Salazar and the time of Tom riddle. It just means if they did do it we wouldn’t be able to kill the the serpent. Could still open it even more so cus ominis wouldn’t want to use it for what it was made for so he would try and lock it up again
@@damienadams741 somewhere in a book that states that they heard about the chamber looked for it but never could find it I don't recall reading anywhere where it was open multiple times other than when Baltimore opened it Salazar Slytherin created it and Voldemort opened it the final time in 92 by possessing ginny
Man so the chamber was still being constructed all that time 😮 wow salazar slytherin must have lived for centuaries before he finished it its still being hollowed out 😮😂😂
Not an expert, but having seen a couple of youtube videos around game design choices, the maps are often non-linear. And developers will also store assets/effects for other parts of the game in out of bounds areas. This video looked more like that than any early work on designing an in game Chamber of Secrets. Although the positioning of the assets "under" the in-book entrance might be a developer in-joke.
Honestly i think that would of made the game more intresting, having a quest with ominous where we open the chamber in serch fir a relic But nope, gotta keep it closed till Ginny opens it 90 years later-
Because most of the people, including me, are curious beings. If we were not, nothing new wouldn't be discovered. And in singleplayer game I can do whatever I want to do 😉
