Well in 1936 there was no body armor, artillery wasn't that precise and there is no air support, 1936 tanks whoud get rekked hard even by a 30mm autocannon, while now artillery & drones allows to have very precise support, plus all the new jet aircraft whoud provide air support without any risks, 1936 planes would get shot down without even trying, adding to the meat grinder would be drone swarms, kamikaze drones and targeted killing drones.
@@zjohnson8773 what do you expect? that ultra modern weapons lose to old weapons, not to mention that most of the military technologies that we have today did not exist at that time.
China had around a 50% equipment deficit by the time Eurasia revolted, however by the time that number started to fall the Chinese were regaining momentum. Oil also seemed to be a problem, but China is just too large to the point where it had several million manpower at any given moment, and clearly Chinese units remained mobile enough even with no oil reserves. IMO modern-day Japan or Russia might have been more balanced.

Can you do a scenario with all the Fascist nations versus all Communist nations versus all Democratic nations versus Non-aligned nations, to see with ideology is the strongest.
To explain the technological gap in this, let's imagine the whole world with 1936 tech going up against a single country with 2021 tech, no matter how big or small it is, is literally primitive humans vs highly advanced alien invaders.
What about 2021 San Marino vs 1936 world? I doubt they even have an army. I think you need something that has a substantial size to get stuff to work. Maybe 2021 Poland/Canada would be a close one as they won't be able to sustain a lot of casualties.
What if you make an ultra-tech run, but give it to one minor nation in several regions? Like, Luxembourg, Finland, Greece, one independant nation each in North & South Africa, Caribbean and South America, Afghanistan and... Vietnam / Thailand ? Not necessarily those countries, but like one country from each of those parts of the world.
Yeah we have assault rifles that match the range and accuracy of WW2 era sniper rifles and artillery that can shoot up to 30km and this isn't even mentioning hypersonic jets

Europe puts up such a good fight. Would be cool to see this kind of scenario but with the second rate great powers instead like France, S. Korea, UK, etc. See how far they can get.

Why did take the world so many casualties and China nothing (I now that it make a difference when you have so many soldiers / division but they take sometimes nothing and the world 2 m ( look at 1:00 to 1:10)
I gotta say 1936 world did better than I thought. This looked like it was over after the first minute, but somehow they gathered up fresh armies and retook Europe. That said, 1936 AD world only ever had as of a much chance at winning this as 1936 BC world had.
The problem is what do you consider an African army? Only states like the congo etc? What about terrorist organisations like the Lords resistance army, or unrecognised States like somaliland?
@@mappingshaman5280 I'd simply just take the numbers of whatever is the official army size of a country, equip them with 1945 gear and buffs to make them 2020, maybe throw in some tanks and planes (wikipedia seems to have numbers on most if not all official african armed forces and a dedicated page for each african military) and then put them into a unified cored africa. Concidering unrecognized states I'd ad their armies as well simply because i think africa could need that extra boost at the start as their equipment will dwindle soon since they can't replenish it with their rather small industry. About terrorist organizations I think it would be pretty hard to get numbers on them so I'd just let them out of that.
yeah but it was the only China that's able to have a fleet in 1936 start date, and to just about sustain a 4M army without massive attrition before WW kicks off for the setup
I play the game. Revolts are triggered if you don't maintain a Garrison in those countries that you have conquered I believe. If you let enough time pass, the resistance movements in those countries will grow in strength and force the whole country to revolt.
@@mreba-bh9lr you need to have manpower and equipment to garrison occupied states, then there are also occupation laws, so it's a matter of balancing the three. Ends up being a problem for these scenarios as I give armies backup MP and EQ, which then gets soaked by all the states they conquer, and equipment deficit happens, then revolts.
