@@huanzeus9917 total mob is shit , but the sooner we set up the economy, the better, and mobilization into the army is a very important aspect at the beginning of the game, because when I started conscription, I already didn’t have enough people at the war with Greece

My first 1k hours, I had no idea what I was doing. It wasn’t until I played long enough that things started to make sense. A rule I have for myself is I have to learn at least one new thing every game, which, even after 3k hours, still happens often. Even if you lose the game, if you learn one thing, then you succeeded.

New update changed combat width so I’m still trying to figure out what sizes are good. It looks like 20wdth and 35wdths are best.

There’s a few things you can do. 1: put just the Kurdish territory on military governor. This will prevent compliance gains, but prevents resistance. 2: use a spy on “hunt resistance” or whatever the option is called. That’s a really good one if you have a spare spy.

Lots of trucks. The only times I have supply issues is right after beating Greece, and the first few weeks into invading Spain, hence why I rush those southern ports to make things easier. But really it just boils down to lots of trucks by late game.

You won’t because they have a port on each of the islands. You need to take one island before they land troops (I’ve seen the Greeks put troops on either one island or they just don’t until the war begins, never both islands.) It’s when the Greeks land troops, they will have very low org. That’s when you attack. Since it’s only one tile, you can wipe them out fully once they run of of org.

@@thetibbiesshow Right, by “south of Mitilini island” I meant that I took one port. I’ve managed to do it in the end by deorging them completely but it wasted a lot of my equipment since there was a few units in the ports at the start of the war. In any case, thanks for the explanation!

@@stipelelas did you exercise your trips fully before the war? When I was making the guide, my first try, I didn’t, and I couldn’t take the island at all. But once I restarted, made sure my troops were trained up, I could take them with hardly any issues.

Bulgaria needs to decline so you can go to war with them. Once at war, it gives a positive modifier with Romania so you can make a faction with them. This only works while at war. If you don’t want to give up even though Bulgaria accepts, you can keep going, the strat changes just a little. Because Romania guarantees you, if you go to war with Yugo, Romania won’t join the war. Declaring on yugo should give you that positive attitude modifier with Romania, so make the faction then. In my experience though, Romania won’t join the war with yugo if you do it this way, but it still helps remove the threat of the Romanian French Guarantee so you can destroy them at ease.

Do you have your fleet on either naval invasion support or strike force in those 3 Mediterranean water zones? Do you have your spy on Greece (spy’s help gain intel which removes a navel supremacy debuff you get when you don’t have enough intel on a nation)? If yes to all of those and you still can’t get naval supremacy, put your tiny Air Force to naval attack. This should help give you that tiny push you may need to get that supremacy. Let me know if it works!

@thetibbiesshow and one more this can you explain what's the best attack, defense and garrison templates with good width for new players to hoi4 as for me it's so confusing as to which template to use to attack which to use for defense and which to use for garrison

​@zaidkhan857 Just in case you haven't figured it out yet. The problem with the naval invasions is that you didn't assign any divisions to the actual order itself. If you create a naval invasion while a division is already assigned to a different order, then it won't assign them to the new one. Hold the control key and click on the naval invasion arrow to assign a division to that order. This works with all other orders you assign as well.

Try naval invading anyway, doing so they will withdraw their troops from the islands and you might even be able to capitulate them

@@rikarovitch7594 this kind of works, but takes wayy to long. I just put flamethrowers at the front in edine and push hard, then naval invade. But this also takes at least two to five month.. anything else I can do?

@@rikarovitch7594 Thanks! I played rounds and rounds and finally got my tactic. I just take Bulgaria to have a bigger front to Greece push in, take the island (they stationed troops on both bc I had a frontline to them now there is only one div like in the video) and launch a naval invasion with standard troops (no cav). From there it is ridicoulessly easy to take yugoslavia and the rest. Works everytime.

See, there’s upsides to them accepting and downsides. The upside is you don’t have to fight them and you can just request all their troops which will help against yugo and Romania, but the downsides are as soon as you join the axis, they leach a bunch of your Balkan territory. It’s so very annoying.

Just don’t put any troops near their borders and don’t improve relations, it usually works with me

Damn it. Everything going well. Won civil war. Annexed Greece. Bulgaria agreed to be puppet. Beat Yugoslavian and HD Romania join faction. Attacked Hungary and beat them but screwed up on a province being puppets and forgot to boot Rumania from faction until it was over. Thus the Non Aggression pact didn't expire until May 2 940. Attacked them and was ONE DAY from beating them and they joined Axis so now I think I'm fucked.

So I did two test games to see if it still works without DorD. Long story short, the strat still gives you a free hungry, but on the flip side Romania joins the Allies within a week of you declaring war. The strat to invite them to your faction to help beat yugo also doesn’t work, so you’ll be fighting yugo alone which is still do-able but it’s much harder. Romania has a ton of cores you need before fighting the allies and axis, so if you want to destroy Romania before they join the axis, just ask Germany to give you docking rights during your war with either yugo or Greece, and move your fleet out of the Mediterranean.

I just checked out the sale and wow. 4$ for DorD, 5$ for BotB. Even BBA is on sale for 20% off. I’m surprised that they put that one on sale.

​@@thetibbiesshow While trying to land in Spain in 1941, Spain had 50 divisions. The reason it stayed in 1941 was because I couldn't get Romania into the alliance. I don't understand what I was doing wrong, but it's still a good guide.

Did you boost relations with Romania prior to making the faction? Also, I find that Romania is more likely to join your faction if you’re fighting Bulgaria vs fighting Yugo. Boosting relations should work, but if that doesn’t, put a spy on diplomatic pressure and see if that works.

Maybe, but I don’t mind waiting a little bit for war economy. There’s plenty of other things I’d rather get with my political power. If you don’t care for the extra research speed, then go for PM instead.

It should work on any game version that’s 1.12 and up. Less than that, and I’m not sure.

Get the tech “landing craft”. That will allow you to land 50 divisions at once. Land around the port with a couple trying to land on the port. It shouldn’t be too difficult if your divisions are strong and mostly trained up.

They will once they capitulate to the Germans. Usually by late 1939, very early 1940.

When he gets sick, which sometimes he doesn’t. If he doesn’t, the decision won’t appear.

Brooo... 20 th time the charm. No joke. I am not a pro player anything. But I got it yesterday (Trial new patch). Weak points for other to note: -Romania rarely joins Axis even before WW2 when you get war goal on them AND you improve relations with them. So dont improve. -Bulgaria must die; no war on Bulgaria = no faction with Romania. And they will not join your other faction, because your faction will need 30% NonAligned for them to have. -Do not let Axis kill Soviet. Np matter how ready/not ready - open 2 nd front as fast as possible. -Italy is easy just naval invade (2 nd tier tech needed) and knock them fast. -Do not puppet Vichy. Just take the staff. Puppet African territories. -Follow guide carefully! Every timing is important. WW2 (Poland) starts - justify Hungary. Almost kill Yugo - justify Spain (also Spain is much stronger in all my 20 runs - I did 2 naval landing toe to toe to spread them and easily kill). Kill Spain - do not hesitate to kill UK. Make sure fleet passes Gibraaltar. Thank you, Tibbs, for the guide!

Also I used 25 w because man you need artillery and guns for this xDDDD After Axis war (about to capitulate Germ) I had - 50k arty and - 200k guns. Turks fought with their teeth xD

​@@TheBittersweetFox bro I have issues with Romania most of the times I played ataturk retired late and my wars are like 3 to 4 months late and by jun/jul 1940 when I kick Romania and I'm done with Hungary instantly Romania joins axis and then by the time I prepare enough for a war with axis (naval invade Italy hold alpine region) I usually start losing. I need Romania to stop from joining axis plz help I already tried 9/11 runs
