I've been wanting to return to hoi4 but didn't have a solid reason and lately achievement runs have been feeling a bit painful. Then the chaddest spider drops this video and I'm like "now I gotta try it" LMAO

minor tip: attack Yemen before Oman, if you do that one decision that cores Yemen, you also core Oman and get a wargoal on them

i remember this horrible achievment. the focus tree is bad, you only try to build up your country in the first 3-4 years and can do nothing, you change your leader 5 times and have to time a lot of stuff. just horrible painfull but somehow fun

So, this strategy is unfortunately not possible anymore in AAT. There is a weird thing now where Finland will always have the USSR declare war on them if they are justified against by someone else (at least in any of the cases I've attempted with multiple nations now). They end up entering the winter war in 1939 just because. The other ways to join the Soviets though would be to declare on either Germany or Iran when the Soviets are at war with them of course. Then you can do the whole Japan thing etc. I'm now struggling again with this stupid achievement...

I saw the older video 2 days ago and i played too many hours to get every step right since then. I tried like 2 hours to get blessed by rng and not get cap by kurdistan and then the pain of turkey moving an unit instantly on the border when declaring war on them getting me trapped. It's a bit of a waste, but I always go with grand battleplan initially to get terrain, which gives you a 50% chance of spawning generals with brilliant strategist or inflexible

A thing I noticed before Hatless.. Why do you never set garrison priority to high? If you don't fill up your garrisons you'll constantly lose more guns as well as manpower because your garrisons are getting killed because there's not enough men and firepower to suppress any unrest. It's very wasteful and can once your country gets bigger with less cored territory as a part of the controlled territory easily lead to hundreds of thousands in losses over less than a year. Especially if you were to use the standard garrison command (Military Garrison or whatever it was called, instead of civil oversight). Edit: Good video otherwise, but it remains a nagging thing

That border conflicts in Syria, Britain has decision to do that and do it probably everytime on historical. Or something like this, I am not sure exactly, cause I never play historical allies.

Some monopolies are actually more efficient than having competitors. For example, if the mathematical formula means higher production always lead to a lowered production cost, a single company with close to full control over the the supply line can in theory be more productive than a market with competitors. An example is the Danish milk market where a very big company (Arla) stands for 85-95% of milk production and if they start to increase prices for consumers competitors will be able to enter the market (rest of EU).

I've tried this 7 times between now and yesterday night. I just can't get it to work, their air just demolishes everything I have, my divisions just don't have the power to push through despite being the same template, i have more of them and they are more equipped. I don't understand why it isn't working. also USSR attacked Finland in 39 instead of May 40 with historical on, so figure that one out

EDIT* Other best advice I can give is to watch this at 1.25 speed because homie talks very slow. That speed feels much more natural and easier to follow. Only note I have to make is at 14:00 definitely DON'T delete the units. They get bonuses for having taken victory points and all you need to do is change the template, not delete the whole division... Any tiny extra bit of power you can gain is very helpful here, especially since you can make those your paratroopers and they will have extra org to fend off any potential attackers. This strategy is amazing though, definitely didn't think to join the comintern at any point and I'm so glad I watched this. I've played probably 40 hours, maybe more of the Ottomans trying to get this done and was hoping for luck in Ahistorical generally. Of course the Central European Alliance always became the brick wall I couldn't overcome and would restart. I've tried so many different strategies and this one seems consistently repeatable, as well as quite easy for the most part. My current struggle has been trying to defeat the Soviets as Sapmi, but I think I'll take a break from that to work on this again. Also, the factory thing is completely changed with MIOs now unfortunately.
