Well this has been a looong time coming, I learnt about this sometime ago but just couldn't get all to click together like this until now. I know It's one unusual way to go about flipping ideologies but it's great to pull of the impossible like this. Exploits are fun like that.
The funniest part is that Kamenev actually wanted cooperation with the moderates and reformists and democracy between many forces, so this could actually happen in a scenario where he leads the USSR.
No he wanted cooperation with the social democrats and anarchists. Them he wanted to stop trotzky from becoming dictator and in a tragic misstep he allied stalin to stop trotzky from taking over. The rest is well known history
I'd love if paradox allowed us to do that without exploits such as these, I get that they wanted to do a democratic path but they didn't add one, Kerensky should be unlocked from the start still, just like Germany's communist advisor.
When lend leasing at 5:24 , you can click "Once" and then click the little warehouse icon. It'll send everything in your stockpile, so you don't have to type a ridiculously large number.
You can go down the democratic path as Bulgaria and flip communist after. I got the achievement for communist Bulgaria this way, and it's easier since you can use advisors of different ideologies. Presumably the reverse path would also work. These paths are actually quite similar, and it should be slightly easier to influence the other countries you need to annex when going democratic. The only notable issue is that you need to be a faction leader for the achievement, and you cannot create factions unless you take a certain focus that you won't have access to when going democratic. Because I had disbanded my own automatically created faction and joined another one after I went democratic, I had to join yet another faction after flipping communist, then take over as faction leader after that.
Japan also cannot do referendum. British Raj used to be enabled but for some reason a certain patch disabled it. I already know a few ideology exploit for others, but not this one. For example getting Democratic Byzantium is very easy.
All of these mechanics and civil war stuff...I wish there was an option, a mod maybe idk, to not have to deal with any of this. Just switching from Stalin to a democratic Russia without micromanaging his paranoia and losing half the generals. 6 years of playing this game, I'm just too tired to bother
@@BubblesZest would this maybe work with some of the allies? because as a democratic nation, it would be so much better to be able to justify to anybody, but still use the democratic path
