Well I am just about 1-2 weeks away from firing this up, just need to get the motor and box installed and do a few fiddly things and then run the engine in.
I went with the 15x7 steelies from BCI wheels as they can fit the factory hubcaps and the 15" tyre size is much more common to buy. The quality of the wheels are top notch for the money. The car is all lowered now on king springs with new shocks and the fuel tank had to be replaced as it was in pretty bad shape.

Brings back good memories of the days I had an HQ that I rebuilt 3 times. Good solid cars that will take a beating 🎉

You would be very surprised how that tank would have cleaned up with that kbs sealer kit for $160. Love the videos

The new one was $830 delivered so it wasn't really to bad of a price to pay to save the headache of trying to clean that tank.

$125 4x4 ball joint remover from super cheap was the best tool I found for getting them in and out. Easy and cheap.

How could you not like the Gangster Hotwire wheels, restore them they’ll look sick. Especially very fitting for that sleeper look.

Hey man currently building my HZ I'm having a bit of trouble my springs keep falling out when I jack the body up and the diff drops do you no what shocks (part number) you use as they must be shorter then standard?
@MCFRYMotorsport
@MCFRYMotorsport Год назад
Ive found if you fit a swaybar on rear it stops the diff dropping down just enough to stop the springs falling out. My shocks are standard length.

@MCFRYMotorsport yeah I have a sway bar factory and still drops to low but cheers for your answer man
@MCFRYMotorsport
@MCFRYMotorsport Год назад
@corykorohiggins5064 your springs might be lower than mine then I guess

50mm shorter shocks in rear if running super low or extreme low coils.
