sometimes the words noona and oppa have a romantic connotation so idols avoid saying them and instead use the same-sex term for older brother/sister!

Yeah, that was my question too. Why unnie? Noona has a romantic connection?? Oppa does, but noona does the opposite. If anything, avoiding saying noona would be a way of keeping the romantic connection and not making someone feel old.

honestly the boyfriend not reciprocating situation is a reminder of why everyone should learn and know their love language and have these discussions early on in relationships. Overall i personally get really frustrated when people ask for relationship advice cause you only get on persons perspective but just from what was said and from a third party outsider they both have things they need to seriously sit down and discuss.

This couple clearly have different love languages and that needs to be communicated. Its not wrong to want gifts even if its just a handwritten card, but also some people dont care for that. If her love language is wanting gifts then he needs to reciprocate that if he truely loves her etc

Neither of them sound like good communicators though (and tbf, most of us aren't, especially when we're young). She needs to apologize for that text message that was basically forcing his hand first before trying to have that conversation again. And if she can't recognize her own passive agressiveness and why she has to apologize for it, then this is beyond having different love languages imo.

Sam has such great chemistry with them. I'd love to see the 4 of them together. That mail question about the boyfriend not getting gifts for his girlfriend got me thinking though. In relationships, you have to be aware and respectful of your partners love language. What are y'alls love languages? I spent Christmas alone and it was good. I was upset the days leading up to it but on the day, I was cool sent messages made a few calls and enjoyed listening to music, dancing alone, eating and sleeping. Once I accepted the situation I was able to be content and grateful.

TO THE GIRL WHO GO HER BOYFRIEND AN AUTOGRAPHED FOOTBALL: GET YO MONEY BACK! Those type of presents are for serious relationships ONLY like marriage (i KNOW an autographed football is expensive and i wouldn't spend a whole bunch of money on a dude that doesn't celebrate the holidays and you wont get anything back!) The man has told you he isnt into gifts (Maya Angelou says "When someone shows you who they are BELIEVE them!") but you continue to spend big money on gifts that are pointless to him your values don't add up so either compromise or LEAVE yall aint married so if celebrating the holidays are important to you then wait till a man that also values that comes around or else your gonna be mad every single year.

when sam said "it's okay to not have a merry christmas" (nv), i legit teared up a little. 2020 was the worst year for me and i lost someone and i really just didnt want to spend christmas but everyone around me tells me i should, and that i should be okay because christmas should be a day or fun and celebration. thank you for validating my feelings, that it's okay to not be okay. i needed to hear that

I felt that, i do feel too comfortable when i'm alone. I'd always want to be at home or when i'm out i'm alone as well. I find it hard to reach out to people so i'm glad i have friends who knows when i need to.

I like Sam's music but I didn't know how well-spoken he was too (though I should've guessed that since he writes great lyrics). Watching him take the time to silently form ideas and responses with the right choice of words made me realise that people normally just say whatever comes to mind first.

When your bf/gf don't consider your feelings or compromise i personally don't think its worth the time and effort. Down the road he will show his selfish side just because "he doesn't like it "...find someone who will contribute to your happiness and you can do the same for the other person.

I personally don't like to verbally/ physically show my love but I try to do little things like randomly massage the person, make them laugh etc Gift wise I try to scrap up anything I can to give them because I don't have any money. I don't necessarily care for gifts but if a person isn't caring for me like im trying to for them..im sorry but we got to fix it or you have to go. Or not it will be me caring for the person while I don't get cared for-_-

Sam is a very empathetic and understanding person. He should be a counselor. Haha. I lived in S. Korea for a year. I lived off “Seattle”. It gave me hope and comfort that I wasn’t alone.

18:08 this is calling me out, I should take this advice There's nothing I wanna do more than just staying home doing absolutely nothing for months and months, I avoid hangouts often too. But it's not like I dislike my friends, everytime I'm with them I have the best time of my life, I feel so good and boosted but I'm only reminded of it once I'm actually with them in the moment- I rarely give myself that oppurtunity cuz the part of me who wants to stay home is 100 times stronger than my will to go out and once I step inside my house after a meet up, I don't wanna step outside ever again.
