How To Make This Holiday Cranberry Sauce With Fresh Cranberry Sauce.
You can make these from scratch with fresh cranberries ahead about two days and it will actually taste better by leaving them in the cooler.
The first Cranberry Sauce with fresh cranberries is a southern dish with a twist of pineapple. The second cranberry recipe has a caramel base very rich and very satisfying that is great for anytime of the year. This is a great side dish recipe with Chicken, Beef or Lamb. This is a great condiment or weeknight side dish.
Even though this is a dish that is made during Thanksgiving and Christmas does not mean you can not make it any other time of the year.

How to make Cranberry Sauce:
Cranberry Pineapple Walnut sauce
2 cups of sugar
2 cups cranberries
Star anise
4 cloves
Zest of one orange and juice of that orange
Place in a pan over medium high heat with star anise and clove. Allow it to melt until the sugar turns into caramel, add the cranberries stir frequently, add 1/2 cup of water. Cook until all the cranberries have popped. With a zester put the zest of one orange over the cranberries then the juice of the orange.

Cranberry Caramel Sauce
1 cup sugar
1 cup of water
2 cups of cranberries
8 oz of crushed Pineapple
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of kosher salt
1 teaspoon of all spice
Zest of one orange and juice of that Orange
Place all ingredients into a pan except the orange and bring to a boil then simmer until the cranberries have popped. Continue to cook until the mixture has thickened.
With a zester put the zest of one orange over the cranberries then the juice of the orange.
