Oh, you can get multiple of those tavern of time cards? The only arena I've done since they were added I got offered one, and it was the last pick, so I assumed everyone would be offered exactly one on pick 30...

Its worse because of Heartstones Mana System. It WOULD be Pot of Greed in a Deck with smaller costed cards

@@NumdegasedUHC pot of greed draws two cards without you "investing" anything up front that turn. This HS spell requires you to pay 4 mana upfront and if you are on say, turn 4, 5, or 6, there's high chances you may not be able to play both the discounted cards. Thus the full benefit of the mana discount is only felt in a later turn, and. you are by definition sacrificing tempo. There's also the case where you draw 1-cost cards and don't benefit from the 2-mana discount.

@@pablovirus Now see, this much I knew when I made my comment. I just ignored the technicalities for the sake of a joke. But the original person that replied seemed to mean “worse” in the sense of “a worse designed card that’s actually MORE broken” because by saying “it would be pot of greed in a deck with lower costed cards” - well, as you pointed out, that would nerf the card, so he’s seeming to imply that it needs to be nerfed in order to be the same as pot of greed, which would imply it’s better than pot of greed.

@@pablovirus AH, except now that I think about it a bit more, I realize that the original reply probably meant “smaller costed cards” in terms of, like, 2/3 mana cards, in which you would get the full discount and also be very likely to be able to play both cards immediately. So he wasn’t saying what I thought he was saying, which is why I got confused :thumbsup:

The three drop is one of the most important mana values in the game, both for tempo and removal. I think it's actually THE most common mana value for a spell to be at.
