It saddens me to hear the dying thoughts of the bugs in Nosk’s lair. As if they didn’t understand what happened, or why someone else had their face. The words “My Face” stick out to me the most.
And the ones that are thinking "dearest" are really heartbreaking too. They thought they were following their significant other, or maybe a child, and instead they got baited into Nosk's layer.
Yeah, the Wanderer's Journal talks about this. Apparently, Nosk can somehow read the minds of its prey to mimic their loved ones to lure it to their lair. It's interesting because it mimics the Knight, like Nosk couldn't find anyone to mimic to lure you, so it just mimicked you instead.
This video is pretty old, but for anyone having trouble with the whole "Shade stuck in the fight room", just attack the Shade and keep attacking it, even if the Nosk runs at you. Afterward, pause and EXIT TO THE MENU. This will return you to your last bench, and it saves your progress. This means that Shade will still be defeated, and your Geo will be safe. This can be used to escape from generally any boss though. It can also prevent the Shade from appearing at all if you exit to the menu right before you die.
@@tukobuko0361 ngl i'm really scared of spiders and bugs, but killing this nasty motherfucker makes me feel so happy for some reason. still though, the way they rush at me still terrifies me.
What the heck? You lucked out: the Nosk had two more moves when I fought it. It spat blobs of fire like the Brooding Mawlik, and then ran across the ceiling dropping blobs, too.
Yeah! That's right! I've search for this gameplay to know how to defeat the Nosk and Max defeat it easily but in the real world it is quite difficult. At least, I've defeat it!!
to anyone having trouble with this fight, i found just staying at the bottom left corner of that middle platform leaves you a lot room for attacks. just gotta dodge when he drops acid from the ceiling and when he charges you from the far left.
Yes I beat it on my first try thanks to the (slow) double mask healing. I often healed there. Sometimes I got hit immediatly after but it was worth it.
Lol the hollow knight is the final boss, not the character we play as Edit: but dw lol- I thought the same thing until about half way through the game when I found out
So. . . is Ghost seeing themself? Like, the bug who was killed by the void when the shade took up residence in their shell? All the dreamnail dialogue seems to indicate that Nosk can read your heart for someone who's died and uses that to entrap its victims. Someone who was dear to you. I honestly can't think of any other candidate, but I'm just spitballing.
Yeah, I think the idea is that Nosk can tell who or what others hold dear to them most, like a loved one, and copies their apperance to lure in prey. Ghost is seeing themself because they really only care about themself. Later, I think Winged Nosk takes the form of Hornet, so maybe by this time Ghost also cares about Hornet?
I hid on the left corner of the platform and would sharp shadow through him after his fireball spits when he charged. Also good place to power up. Grubsong gave me soul when hit from his ceiling drops. Weaversong, Sharp Shadow, Grubsong, and Lifeblood Core worked for me.
Just got done doing this fight and i ended up beating him first try. The way i did it was by standing off the platform and pinching myself in the wall of the platform and hitting him as he walked over me and then i would go to the other side rinse and repeat. I also had grimms kid to deal damage as well.
I have had my name abbreviated to nosk for so long and I recently got asked if it was in reference to hollow knight. I said no bc I haven’t played it yet but now I want to just bc of this lol
I know nothing about hollow knight, but I LOVE spiders. And god, this design is one of the best things I've seen. Huge respect for the creators. Hollow knight fans- can y'all tell me if there's more cool ass spiders in that game? I'd consider buying it :)
There are the spider enemies that crawl on invisible webs, and one of the most important characters, Hornet, despite her name, is also a spider. There are at least 3 other spider enemies too, and an entire spider village, albeit it's quite barren. So yeah, there are spiders, but it's just a section of the game. The rest of it is really cool though, so spiders aside, I highly recommend it.
I saw the clone form once myself and I was like 'dafuck?' and later I found out via RU-vid what it was and it creeps me the fuck out. But that's literally the only creepy thing about Deepnest :p
@@Scriblyn To be fair, Deepnest does have creepy stuff sprinkled throughout. Things that come to mind are Midwife and that maze to get to the Dreamer. But in all fairness, Deepnest as a whole is more of a generic scary area than actually scary. Like, if all of Deepnest is scary, then by that logic so is every other area in the game, because almost every area has unsettling stuff sprinkled in. But that doesn't make them automatically scary.
go to the left at where the gate closed and stay there his ceiling attacks cant hit. and when he runs into u spam down b when he go back up in ceiling heal or when he runs away from u
I love the fact that, if you try to Dream Nail him, the only dialogue is *"..."* Since Nosk reads the minds of others, by reading his mind the Dream Nail backfires and the Knight reads his own, and as we know, he doesn't think anything.
Ah, aesthetically Nosk is my favorite boss, he’s just so creepy and interesting to me, but man the fight with him was boring. He basically just charges you over and over. It’s easy to dodge and boring to do. It could’ve been so much more.
Yeah this battle is total BS ! and as if it wasn't already hard enough, they added more moves to the boss. But what really sucks is if you want your soul and money back you gotta keep going back to it and fighting until you beat it because it locks you in that area. Total F'N BS !!!! Not enough charm notches damnit !!!
Truhilora HD 1:16 yes, and skipped over to another area. plus the area was unmarked as of the time shown, and i'm done replying as this comment is a year old
@@togekiss09 No clues about it's existence? Right, except that if you follow the literal main path to the Deepnest you see yourself. If you didn't chase yourself down it's your own fault. You have to TRY to not find Nosk dude lol
