I get that this video is a joke but I don't see what's the point... If anything it'll give those people who just see the title or watch only a little of the video an expectation that it's actually bad.. This video does more harm than good and I don't really find it funny even as a joke ._.
It's boring and bereft of actual humour, designed by a 12 year old to be antagonistic and subversive when it just comes across quaint and lack luster. Also the prick deleted my constructive comment so is he even a real youtuber?
One thing I unironically hate in the map though: the Infected Crossroads for no good reason just has two big, unbreakable walls of Infection bubbles that block off two previously accessible paths (one of which is a Stag Station.) They don’t make any areas inaccessible but they do force me to waste time taking a longer route.
So it's annoying on replays, but I think it's really cool on the first play through. It makes the changes to the crossroads feel really meaningful. Yeah the enemies get harder, but also the literal structure of the world changes. Enemies getting harder as you get stronger is normal in games. Having to rework your mental map entirely is not so common. Plus if you come up to the crossroads from the blue lake or the bottom in general it's a real shock to find yourself unable to get to the stag you wanted to use, all while dealing with a bunch of new harder enemies. In general it just really felt like it enhanced the time pressure and impact of the infection.
But why would u ever need to go to either places? The crossroads stag by the time you have infected crossroads is basically pointless, and ancestral mound is just another area once you get vengeful spirit and the whispering root is NOT worth the trouble.
Honestly I clicked on this video wondering why you thought it was bad. I didn’t expect it to be a joke about making fun of the areas and names. Well played sir.
@@zettarin Honestly, part of what I love about the fight is that it's difficult, but it still doesn't seem unfair. You still get cues and enough time to get out of the way. Unlike another boss that can hit you with attacks that are very easy to underestimate the range of...... *cough* Kingdom's Edge Hornet *cough*. Seriously, she can cover a quarter of the arena with a hitbox with almost no warning if she feels like it. But your fight doesn't have anything like that, and that's what I like so much about it.
If you get a light beam of opposite frequency and you shoot it along the exactly same line as the original is travelling in. The two beams could cancel each other out due to destructive interface. But I doubt they had lasers sophisticated enough to do that
You’ll get through i struggled too with zote but if you’ve made it this far you’ll do it Ps when zote if falling from above the sky or does a high jump and homes in on you use descending dark for invincibility frames
I really wish you'd put a "this is satire" message at the beggining or something because it hurts to see the un warranted amount of dislikes you're getting and it puts you in a bad name you don't deserve
Saying its satire ruins the joke . I appreciate you looking out for me but the people that dislike before watching have a toxic mindset , say it wasn't a joke , they are really going to dislike a small channels video because they have an opinion ?? thats ignorant and i dont want those people to stick around . It just means the people who subscribe are actually nice
@@oddiemefav1363 "they're really going to dislike a small channel's video because they have an opinion?" That's uh...what the dislike button is for though. You dislike video that you don't like or agree with
@@Mqstodon You are right but my point is the people that instantly dislike a video because it presents even a slightly different opinion must be horrible people to interact with in real life
@@oddiemefav1363 "slightly different" seems to be sugarcoating it. "TRASH" (all caps, eye catching, descriptive, is used at end of title when you finish reading) seems to be a little more "completely opposing" to peoples perspectives. I do understand that you deserve to be upset though, even if people didn't know better I don't think that what you made and worked on should have been as ostracized as it was.
Celeste is a good training ground for the path of pain, btw. I would have gotten way more mad at myself for messing up if I didn't play that amazing game
@@Iamfrozen131 They said they are not sure if the three queens thing is still relevant to the lore or not, not that it is cut and shouldn't be looked at, check your facts
Again a nice vid! I really had to laugh when you said "1942 Henschel HS 117 Schmetterling Attack Missile". But one thing: You said that Hallownest is the Flukemarm of map design which is actually a compliment `cause Flukemarm is *canonically* a MILF, so that means taht the Hallownest is a MILF as well, so it`s beautiful. Bye :D
Ok im actually stupid cause i cant tell If this video is a joke or is he serious plz help Edit: ok now im pretty sure that hes not serious but hes very underrated would share this to friends but i dont have any😅
@@northking2317 awwwwwwwww DM me on discord or join the discord and chat if you want , i love making friends , especially if you all enjoy hollow knight
Honestly, one's gotta appreciate how good the design of Queen's Gardens is, for the very fact that it *is* Greenpath 2.0. After spending a large amount of time in other "biomes" that are varying amounts of dirt and rock (notable exception the Hive), it's refreshing to go back to a "green" area. It gives the illusion of safety and ease that usually comes with revisiting early areas, while also dishing out those super annoying mantises. Forgotten Crossroads also makes a similar subversion when it turns into the Infected Crossroads.
It would appear to be as there is little way to leave but then i hope team cherry answer how they managed to actually leave with all that wind and stuff
@Oddiemefav see it was just a windy day the one time you went there. If your character chose any other times there wouldn’t be strong winds and you could just leave. It’s unlucky, really.
According to the story, Hallownest once was a lively place. So we can assume that the "few" bugs in the >forgotten< crossroad are not the amount of insects once lived there. The same goes for a lot of stations like the Queen Station, which 'Quirrel' said in the story was once a lively place (also assuming to what the elder bug tells you before you enter the forgotten crossroad). I just think it would be a bad idea to just leave the crossroad empty right? And in the sake of the story it makes sense... so I think the naming fits pretty well if you're a bit more into the story.
It's just people not watching most of the time . Most of the comments seem to care about people not watching than i do lol . You guys are amazing , thanks for taking the time to leave a nice comment
4:24 its a ruin, there aren't supposed to be millions of uninfected residents 6:44 the radiance is a dream, a formless enemy, they had no way to defeat her Even if the radiance loves lamps, she is too bright to see other light
Welcome to hollow knight, we have: Walmart Boring Green Fun guy fan club Jellyfish Green 2: electric boogaloo Bravaa! Literally only exists for dream nail Poo labyrinth Primal aspid *BUZZSAW* haha lasers go brrrrr Gorb Oh hey a normal enemy! OR NOT! haha bee’s go brrrrrr Angry bug troupe leader nightmare king cultists Who thought boss rushes where a good idea?
Ok, but to be fair, Deepnest is ACTUAL garbage though. Random enemies spawning from thin air, off screen spikes, blind jumps, dead enemies coming back to life, and an impenetrable darkness that isn’t fun to maneuver. Just thought I’d put it out there
Some of those really strange names make Sense in the lore, green path was named like that because the pale King wanted to make it some more crossroads, but Unn had already infested it with plants And you know where this is going
I love that there is no narration for Deepnest. Just footage... of pain. As one of my favorite RU-vidrs said when playing this, “I have suffered.” (MythyMoo btw, his Hollow Knight series is amazing. Did like 3 sequence breaks on accident)
I don't mean to remove your ability to comment as a normal person but ... No way ... NO WAY did you watch this video . I love your content so much man . This is surreal
@@oddiemefav1363 lol well, the thumb came up, and I had to see what your arguments on this would be. Frankly I thought there was no good defense for saying Hollow Knight has bad map design, but you found it. 10/10 good bait. (Also, thanks for the kind words.)
@@razbuten I try to make less baity content now but it was super fun to make lol . It's hard to criticise perfection (unless ur name is Joseph Anderson ) but i think i used some rock solid points
Everything i say here is a joke lol i love the game . But even if you didnt get the sarcasm the respect for opposing opinons is a really chill mindset ^-^
Honestly, one of my favourite aspects of this game was the level design. Love me some exploration. The thing with tough games is that they require to be well made to be fun.
I'm pleasantly surprised, I came here ready to hate you to an irrational extent but my expectations were subverted and I had a good laugh especially with the deepnest part that shit nearly made me refund my purchase
As a fan of hollow knight i will admit about some flaws about the game and this video has made me realize some more flaws that i didn't know at first, even if the game has some problems people still enjoy for the better parts of it, and here's a little quote now "You can't truly love something untill you admit the flaws with it"
but the flukemarm is called the alluring god of motherhood, that means that your comparison is actually a falsity and you love the map design and oh i just watched the rest of the video i'm so sorry.
I figured you were going to critique how every level is constructed on a grid and such, I was rather disappointed to be honest. Looks like Hollow Knight continues to be unassailable.
Forgotten crossroads: bc all the bugs that enter it have forgotten their memories when they enter, so everyone has forgotten it when they reenter for the first time... it’s only if the bugs survive and explore long enough to they really remember it
I was generally curious to see your rant on why you hated the map design, and to be fair, I wouldn't have minded the negativity. Then I watched the entire video. I must say, I am impressed with you puting this video out as a complete joke, and it did give me some laughs. Too bad that people disliked it anyway. Either they didn't watch it, or they didn't get the joke. Unfortunate.
I mean the title isn’t wrong tho. For example you can completely stumble into crystal cave by accident when you aren’t ready for it (I was not ready for the area and only managed to get the slam thing purely by luck and skill and definitely shouldn’t have been there yet) and once you’re in there you’re forced to just progress through the whole place to leave and get an item you won’t need for ages.
