the lewd fanart is just weird. like i searched up hornet once to get some sprites so i could draw and use as a reference for drawing, as i wanted to draw that scene when the little knight dreamnails hollow. then i scrolled down a little too much and saw art of her and the little knight... yea... and i just kept thinking "why. they're siblings" luckily i've seen nothing but that, so i'm happy at the very least there's less art like that on hollow knight then any other game *cough* undertale

I think most fanbases are this good. The problem is that when something becomes VERY popular and talked about, people try to bring out and exaggerate the bad things. Hollow Knight is popular, but it's not big enough for people to hate it for no reason and try to pull that shit.

Another thing ireally like abt the fandom is how supportive everyone is of each other. Even here, supporting smaller creators, who promotoe other small creators who promote big creators. And when the fandom talks nobody is critical of the other. Its actually amazing how well the fandom communicates with each other and to others

the lore: a fork that was originaly a worm build a kingdom and stole the moths of a giant moth, the giant moth then caused a plague that turned a lot of bugs of the kingdom into zombies, as a counter measure the fork had WAY TOO MUCH sex with a tree but it failed until you were born and went to kill the giant moth who was sealed in your brother by your father and mother who was then sealed in a giant egg by 3 other dudes who used their souls and you need to fuck everything up by killing your way through infected and not infected bugs and erase some souls from existence and also find a way to bang hornet

This game holds such a special place in my heart. It's done so much for me... there will never be another Hollow Knight in my eyes.

I just simply like the characters in the game. And the lore is also great. This game even made me less scared of insects (Not spiders tho. I'm still terrified of them) And the community seems to be quite friendly... I've already found 2 people that are interested in the some things from the game and we like to theorise about characters and etc.

My favorite part about the HK community is that we are respectfully ravenous when it comes to Silksong. So many people either on RU-vid comments, reddit threads or RU-vid videos are salivating for the next entry for the series, sometimes even begging for just a release date, yet we 1000% respect and understand that making a good game takes time and are willing to wait on Team Cherry to release it when they're ready. I have never been a part of a community so willing to wait for a game without breaking at the seams.

If someone draws "fanart" of ANY character in Hollow Knight, They are in danger.

I love the animatics people do of comedy sketches using the HK characters. I think the simple and clear character designs make them really easy to use by fans for fun things like that.

I use my coins or whatever. $3 short. THREE FREAKIN' BUCKS! darn... Oh well, who cares, I'll watch it anyways. I watched some videos on it a while ago, so I think I have some vague ideas of the plot and stuff, it can't be that much worse than what I already know, besides, a good twist is something you can appreciate even if you see it coming, as it's set up well. Even a game like Undertale, which is really best played mostly blind, can still be appreciated even if you know a few things before hand because its set up so well. I mean, I already knew about EXP, and yet when I met sans at the end of my first playthrough it was even more emotional because I had KNOWN and I'd gotten a neutral route anyway. I had decided that certain things were worth it in order to make my first playthrough easier, and while I already intended to play it a second time I think to get a different ending, I WANTED to, to the point where I spared both bosses past that point. Like I said, a good twist is still good even if you know it before hand, because it's set up well. That being said, it's best to play Undertale without to many spoilers, so that's why I tried to avoid any real spoilers in this comment. Sheesh, I haven't even watched past the 30 second mark and I'm already writing a paragraph essay in the comments. I really have a problem. XD!
