Is it really about protecting the children for Breda? From what I've seen of her character it appears she just had a bitter resentment towards any men who have done questionable things - probably stemming from her abuse by her father and Goldie's step father. She murders Carl and Russ to "protect" Max and Bobby but she is nowhere to be seen when a coked up Mercedes is bringing gangsters and other strange men into the family home. No mention of how Mercedes sold Bobby for hard cash when he was just a baby either. Surely if she wants to protect the children Mercedes should be her primary target. Russ may have done some bad things in his last month on the show but overall he was a decent human being and a good father to Max and was pushed to the edge by Mercy. Then she murders Louis because he wants to be with Simone instead of Leela so her solution is to kill him and now she's dumping Daniel on Lisa while she's working - maybe Lisa will ask her gangster boyfriend to babysit for her. And another thing, how can she judge Louis for playing away and breaking up a family when only a few months ago she was encouraging Sylver to go for it with Mercedes when she was with Russ - she basically was telling her own son to break up a family. Fun character and the actress is decent but her motives make little sense.

All deserved it. First guy was abusive to his son, Carl was a kidnaper, Glenn killed his son and basically ruined four women's lives, Russ cheated on Mercedes and got Goldie pregnant and forced her to get rid, Louis played 3 women (even tho I will actually miss him so much.

It's very rare in soaps that a serial killer has a motive that is understandable, apart from Louis I was on her side with all the other victims
