Here is one more episode of The Hollywood Squares from the weekly evening edition's first season, with Jane Wyman, Jan Murray, Charley Weaver, Glenn Ford, Rose Marie, Vincent Price, Elke Sommers, Bill Bixby, and Paul Lynde.
Enjoying these shows, quite addictive. I was born in the seventies in the UK and I vaguely remember we had a version called Celebrity Squares. I love the prizes and the voiceovers on this version! Great guests too. I instantly recognised Bruce Banner and Jonathan Kent on here :D
Before Jane Wyman would ever appear on "Falcon Crest," she was a panelist on "Hollywood Squares." As I said, she was the reason why movies/TV had cherished her! :) May she continue to #RIP! 1917 - 2007!
I need to laugh and stay happy as I am depressed but Paul Lynde and the show helps to ease my depression and my kitty helps too .With the cronavirus killing people and maybe losing medcaid is causing anger and depression .
A lot of people may not know this, but Dan Rowan auditioned to host the original version of The Hollywood Squares (Daytime) (1965) but lost out to Peter Marshall, who took the job just to keep Rowan from getting it, as he was angry at Rowan for not visiting the terminally ill Tommy Noonan, who in Marshall's opinion had contributed greatly to Rowan and Martin's success.
Peter mentioned the tragic Olympic Games in Munich, Germany that were about to take place. Chilling. This was basically the start of modern day terrorism. Very sad what happened to the Israeli Olympic team. Will never forget Jim McKay announcing that they were "all gone".
My brother at about age 19 got sprayed big time by a mama skunk. Our grandma made him bury ALL his clothes by the barn and take a bath in Pine Sol - but he didn't shave his head. (We lived WAY out in the country...)
It reminds me of a Vauxhall we had at the time in the UK, the Victor. GM owned them at the time (until 2017). The Pontiac I've seen on a '68 episode looked very nice.
@@ronmyers2317 Actually, you got a certificate worth the value of the car, to take to your dealership back home and you can add options (that you pay for) pick your color etc and i would imagine you could upgrade to a Nova or Impala, let's hope she did!!
