I was narrating this to my Wife, and commented that one thing that I love about these videos is that Michael's basic DECENCY shines through all the time. His enthusiasm and joy of life comes across. One thing I caught was the look of utter despair when he realized that the characters in costume were expecting payment to take their photograph. He instantly realized he had made an error, and went immediately to "Make it good" by giving money to the disabled man in the wheelchair. That type of basic decency is hard to find, especially in "Hollywood". I lived there many years before moving away in 2003.

They host the oscars, american idol and more at the Dolby theater. The chinese theater is a regular move theater but hosts a lot of hollywood premieres. Also when you went up the escalator, at the top was a nice view of the hollywood sign that you missed!

For those that don’t know, back in the Golden era of music they use to record music on flat discs made of vinyl. These discs had thin groves in the surface that were designed to vibrate a needle that would do its thing in front of a hall effect sensor; much like the one on your electric guitar. From there the tech is identical to get the sound. When he said “78’s” that was the speed in rotations per minute the record needed to turn at to vibrate the needle at the right frequency range to reproduce the sounds recorded on it correctly.

Thank you for the awesome video. I was born in Hollywood and grew up there in the 60's and 70's. My dad always took me to Musso and Frank Grill on Hollywood Blvd and I use to see Adam West, the original Batman there all of the time.

The tall building on the right at 9:00 (next to mcdonalds) is actually the Daily Planet from Superman with Christopher Reeves. They also walk by it at 20:46 and onward. The weird thing is that it's abandoned for some reason. Hollywood is actually rather small in person, this building appeared huge in the movie.

I remember my time at the hollywood walk of fame. I specifically remember eating at hooters on the day that Prince died and it was all over the news. The next day i had to fly back home to Australia. I enjoyed my visit to the U.S and will be back in the near future.

We have a Guiness and Riples here in Tennessee in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, one in each town and they're like 10 mins apart lol. Theres also a wax museum but it's not Madame Tussauds, it's Hollywood Wax Museum. Oh they have that one also lol. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is like the biggest tourist towns in the southeast after Orlando so they got all the touristy places Hollywood does.
