Thank you. We are hoping to go to there next year and may now consider this site. Take care Gill

Thanks. Unfortunately there were quite a few children on site when we stayed who were left to do whatever they liked. On the morning of leaving a few of them (on bikes) chose to try and follow us all the way out of the site (some at the back and some at the side) so ended up stopping the van and politely saying “I don’t want to run you over and you don’t want to be ran over do you.” We we’re happy to leave. Thanks for watching. Best wishes, Fran, Paul and the Minions.

We've been to a couple of Airedale Alley Cats camps at that site. Was good to have visiting ducks

It is a nice location although there were too many kids with parents that weren’t bothered about them while we were there. Would love to be there with fellow A series.

I live just up the road from here. I believe the pond you saw is an old mill pond. The mill is now demolished. There also used to be a railway viaduct in that area, on some of the public footpaths you can see the piles of stones from where it was demolished. The restaurant near the campsite Devour is very nice if you fancy a treat.

Thanks. It is a very beautiful area. Thanks for the additional information. Good to know and helps other viewers that read the comments.

We looked at this site a few years ago but didn’t get around to going. I have to say some of the pitches did look a little on the tight side and the facilities average for £31.50 per night, but the site location and grounds looked very nice. I’d probably like this one out of season if it’s an open all year one. TFS, Sue.

Pitches were “cosy” and some of the areas could do with renewal. Out of season would be wise from a children perspective. As I said to someone else in the comments; “There were quite a few children on site when we stayed who were left to do whatever they liked. On the morning of leaving a few of them (on bikes) chose to try and follow us all the way out of the site (some at the back and some at the side) so ended up stopping the van and politely saying ‘I don’t want to run you over and you don’t want to be ran over do you.’ Thanks for watching Sue. Why do all these places have very tight entrances to say they cater for such huge vehicles.

Yeah it looks tight when you look at the entrance road on Google Street View. I think that would put me off going, even though we only have a small 2 berth motorhome. Plus the price seems expensive at £31.50 a night. Looked at their prices for next year. Very complicated, with 3 bands of prices. Plus charging more to stay Friday & Saturdays. EG for a week in June 2022, its Band B on Sunday to Thursday, and Band A on Friday / Saturday. Plus it would cost us £6 extra per night for 2 dogs. I think we will pass on this one.

Many sites are like this. Some are on lanes a few miles long before you arrive at the entrance to site. It makes the arrival more of a challenge.

@@Andy.Gledhill.Models. we would agree. That road noise also becomes annoying.
